We have undertaken Training and are Qualified to Install, Service and Maintain Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems and can fully comply with Building Regulations Part G3. We Can also Design, Specify and Install Bespoke Thermal storage Hot water systems that can be heated by Oil and Gas Boilers, Solar Thermal, Air source Heat pumps, Wood and Pellet Boilers.
The Scheme timeline has been extended from the end of March until 12 months after the start date, great news if you are considering to upgrade to a renewable energy Air Source Heat Pump from an Oil Appliance. As Approved MCS Installers of Renewable Energy Heat Pump, we are able to complete works on this scheme, We are seeing heavy demand for this service at present - and will do what we can to assist you in making the right choices.
Shelford Heating Installation Technicians and many of the service technicians are also able to complete general plumbing works, and are either Qualified to City and Guilds, or NVQ Level 2 and 3 which are the basic levels of qualifications for all Plumbing professionals in the UK. All Apprentices within the company past and present have either gained this qualification or working towards NVQ Levels 2 and further enhancing to level 3.
Shelford Heating have the knowledge and Experience in the Design, Supply and Installation of Biomass Boilers.
We are trained and Approved with Grant UK to Install the Vecta and Spira Wood Pellet Biomass Boilers and we hold the QCF Mapped Course that enables us to obtain registration and Certification with the APHC as an approved installer much like we already hold with Air Source Heat Pumps which enables us to Certify the Installation and obtain access to the Renewable Heat Incentive.

Did a good enough job but extortionately expensive. Lots of hidden costs for parts, some of which feel like they should be part of the service…. £3 for a test strip! Surlybthat should be part of the service charge. They also quote everything excluding VAT which is infuriating given most people don’t have a way to claim VAT back.
Thinking perhaps I should invoice them for the cuppa I made for the engineer.
Will be looking for alternate next year as can’t be paying £400-£500 every year for routine service.

Got a ridiculously expensive quote from these guys. £3600 for a new boiler install! Got a quote from another company same type of boiler with power flush and magnetic filter total price was £1900 and that’s for a Which recommended boiler. Obviously shelford heating are commissions based sales. Look elsewhere.

Brilliant, we had a problem with our oil boiler tripping out for past 2 winters. Called up and had an engineer the same day. He diagnosed the issue quickly and had the part ordered and delivered and installed within a couple of days.
Very professional, we have had real problems finding reliable heating engineers since we moved to oil in 2013 but now very confident that what was a massive issue with our home has been fixed.

Reported a faulty manual rotating timer on my boiler and to check the efficiency and option I have. Very responsive in getting a chap out to investigate. The chap who came said a new timer was needed but he couldn't do this. I asked what else he could do for the remaining 50 minutes of the hour call out charge and he said he could do nothing so I ended up paying £50 for a 10 minute visit and didn't learn anything that I didn't already know. I was also logged as a "difficult customer" for challenging the value of his visit.
