Vernon Blackmore has been leading the way for Woodbridge restaurants for nearly 20 years and this summer he brings the Spice Bar to The Table in this beautiful Suffolk town. The Spice Bar will bring a wonderful contemporary feel to the dishes, with the addition of Spice Bar classics and, most importantly, a great team that is raring to go.
A modern twist on some classic authentic Asian food, a lovely setting for light lunches, family gatherings, romantic dinners, celebrations and more. At the heart of Woodbridge since the 16th century, our charming townhouse has been looking after diners for over 50 years. In 2012 Vernon Blackmore and the team opened The Table. Recommended in The Good Food Guide 2020, our reputation is as a lovely, informal eatery serving quality food with great flavours.
Spice Bar @ The Table's chef-owner Vernon and his head chefs believe that cooking, at its heart, should be creative and expressive of the seasons and the area. To help implement this, the menu changes daily as local, fresh, seasonal produce arrives. The quality of the ingredients allow us to showcase what we do in all our cooking, whether that be a curry from Malaysia, Indian BBQ ribs, or White Fish Katsu with a Japanese pickled salad.
Situated in the delightful Suffolk town of Woodbridge, our South East Asian food restaurant is just a short stroll from the River Deben. Set in the countryside we are just a short drive from Suffolk Coast & Heaths, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Close to popular towns & villages including Framlingham, Wickham Market and Aldeburgh.

Was our last night of holiday in the area, my wife had searched for a more special location for last meal in Woodbridge. The waitress was lovely, she sorted out an issue we had with our outside table which was subject to a bit of an unpleasant whiff coming from somewhere in the grounds, and managed to move us inside after a bit of discussion with other staff. Our experience has just been marred by the initial impression. Like others have suggested we couldn't make a reservation on the phone as never answered, had to make effort to go there in person and book one afternoon, we out that down to low

Delicious food but it's really difficult to book a table here!
The Table was always our favourite restaurant in Woodbridge so we were excited to try the Spice Bar last week. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, delicious flavours and good sized portions. The staff were really friendly and attentive and food service was quick. We had a great time sat outside :-)
My only complaint is how challenging we find it to book here now. The Table always used to have great front of house service and always answered the phone. Since it changed to the Spice Bar, we have had great difficulty getting anyone to answer

What a wonderful evening!
Tonight we visited The Table in Woodbridge for our final night of our holiday and it was absolutely delightful.
The outside courtyard is beautiful with lovely light fixings and heaters, alongside blankets on offer.
The staff were super friendly, personable, and attentive, we were never waiting to grab anyone’s attention. We always had everything we needed.
Now, the food…the food!!
What a refreshing taste of the south-east bought to Suffolk! All of the food was made so well and every dish we had tasted gorgeous. The flavours, the portion sizes, everything was just

Had a dinner here a few weeks back and The Table.is quicky growing into one of my most favourite local restaurants.
As a group of 4 we all left gloriously content after a brilliantly delicious meal.
Our group all went for starters and mains. 3-4 starters were raved about. My lamb wasn't what I was expecting and whilst ok I was left a little disappointed. However my main of the belly pork and dauphnoise potatoes was delightful, this more than made up.
The service as always is warm, friendly and prompt and at no time were we rushed or hurried.
