Carol's Bridal Boutique is a family affair which opened it's doors in 2010 and was born out Carol's passion and enthusiasm in the Wedding Industry, having spent 20 years heading the highly respected Gables Hotel in the world famous Gretna Green. She combined daily commitment and dedication to make her award winning boutique as successful as it is to this day.

We have a gorgeous showroom full of incredible wedding dresses to choose from - so make your appointment today. We also have an in house dressmaker who can carefully fit you for alterations to your chosen gown if needed. Or alternately turn your dreams into reality with our bespoke dress making service - for a traditional, themed or civil wedding ceremony.

Carols Bridal was the only dress shop I went to looking for my wedding dress but it was the only one I needed to! Lauren was amazing in helping me find my absolute dream dress (Josie from the Rebecca Ingram range) and perfect veil. Absolutely first class service & I would recommend any bride-to-be to book an appointment to find their perfect dress. 3 months on from our Wedding Day & I’m still obsessed with my dress. Thank you! Please be aware that the £25 deposit is infact not a deposit it only becomes a deposit when you purchase your dress with them. If you dont find the dress you really truly love then your deposit becomes and experience charge. When i asked about the deposit i was emailed a copy of the terms and conditions where no where on there stated that if you do not decide to purchase the dress with them its a non refundable charge. I had a high opinion of carol roberts until that moment such a shame for the sake of £25 ( i would have been more than happy to pay the £25 willing if it was properly outlined

I had my first appointment via zoom with Lauren today. I was slightly nervous about choosing my dream dress over video. Once I saw the dress on the screen I fell in love, I knew it was the perfect dress for our wedding. Lauren was fantastic, she had an excellent knowledge of dresses and gave me lots of advise about features of the dress. It was an excellent experience. Lauren was great and showed me all the details of the dress I chose. She even showed me accessories and answered all the questions I had about alterations, features, accessories etc. Thank you Lauren for a fantastic experience. I

I went into Carol's Bridal Boutique having absolutely no idea what I was looking for and came out with the most beautiful dress.
Every single member of staff is extremely warm, friendly and knowledgable making the experience so so easy and they were accommodating in every way they could be.

I had the best experience at Carols Bridal Boutique! I left other boutiques and outlets feeling very confused about what I wanted and no one seemed to offer advice or alternative styles that I hadn't chosen myself! My dream dress at Carols wasn't a dress that I had picked, it was the lovely Lauren who brought me the dress to try on and it was a mixture of everything I wanted and for an amazing price!! So Sue helped me find THE dress. I was so so worried about how I'd feel as I'd just had a baby 4 months before. But I can honestly say Sue helped me get my confidence back and made me feel amazing I bawled like a baby because I was so shocked I could look this way. I've gone for a dress the total opposite as to what I was actually looking for! And I cannot wait...finger crossed the wedding is still going head 4th July! Not only Sue but every staff member I spoke to or dealt with have been amazing and so friendly. Would recommend anyone to go try their dresses on they make it such an amazing experience

Thank you so much to the whole team, especially to Lynn for saving my wedding day. When I walked in 3 weeks before the big day with my dress rolled up in a suitcase following disastrous alterations by another supplier you were so kind and considerate and calm. Lynn managed to resurrect my dress and totally rebuilt it for me in 7 days. It looked superb on the day and it felt fabulous. I also purchased a back up dress from you which fitted like a glove and I wore to the evening reception. It had the real wow factor and was a joy to wear. The best bridal store in Carlisle. Amazing service, amazing shop, the new bridal room is absolutely stunning and I felt like I was the only bride in shop. The personal attention made me feel so special and the selection of dresses is incredible. The staff couldn't do enough for me and their knowledge of dresses and what would suit me was perfect and found my dream dress on my very first appointment.
