Leading your business to success advance progress across the building services and fabric sector. NAPIT is a leading Government approved and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited membership scheme operator in the building services and fabric sector.

There are currently more than 15,000 NAPIT registered installers in the electrical, heating, plumbing, ventilation, microgeneration and building fabric trades across the UK domestic, commercial and industrial markets. As Chief Executive of NAPIT my aim is to drive the business forward, make NAPIT more efficient, and champion the interests of our members.
Services
We've streamlined our processes to make things as simple as possible for you to join NAPIT. Whether you're joining our Competent Person Scheme as an Electrical Installer or join one of our other schemes, the process is exactly the same. Certify and notify you jobs fast, on-time, every time with NAPIT Desktop 5, our fully integrated support system, packed full of useful content.
It is important that you get work done by competent people working for businesses who are committed to quality, safety and customer care. NAPIT certificated scheme members have demonstrated their competence, they hold the necessary insurances and have the right processes and procedures to assure compliance.
The Registered Tradesperson search allows you to identify installers by the scope of their certification and their location. If you have already identified an installer and want to check their credentials then you can enter the company name or NAPIT membership number to retrieve their details.

If you are searching for installers on the internet be aware of a number of installer listings that do not relate to certification under government authorised or UKAS accredited schemes. For all but the smallest jobs, you should aim to get three quotes. Summarise what you want in writing and check that the quotes you get back cover what you have asked for.
The following section describes the schemes that are available to installers through NAPIT. Although the following schemes have individual purposes, the installers you may be using may well belong to several. For example, installers involved in the Microgeneration Certification Scheme or Energy Efficiency Measures Scheme below and who work in England and Wales will almost certainly also be certificated under the Competent Person Scheme as well.
NAPIT carry out assessments of Scheme Members with the purpose of ensuring that they are competent to deliver safe and compliant work. We do however recognise that sometimes things go wrong. If that happens it is important that you first raise the issue with the installer and make sure they have had an opportunity to resolve your issue or complaint before raising it with NAPIT or other parties.

This club is also a scam like the NICEIC, they have no govt. or legal backing , just a bunch of electricians , making money by telling you that , without their membership , you cannot do anything.

Maybe employ trained teachers that can actually teach, rather than use ex trade electricians that cannot teach, then the learning experience would be beneficial, and lessons learned.

Fantastic assessor, asked tricky but knowledgeable questions on assessment with good support, being 20 years in trade knew my answers well. just switched from Stroma, before with Elecsa for 10 years.

I have been very underwhelmed with the customer service at NAPIT. I really wanted to be approved by them however it just looks like they're too busy to deal with me. They were quick and hot enough to take all my money. Such a shame, really disappointed by the whole thing to be honest. (Member No 61826)
Malcolm promised me I was booked on the course, 4 months later when were getting close to the date it turns out I wasn't!

Great organisation, great staff and a lush location but it's not the easiest place to find. When you do manage to spot the track that leads to the estate you might be mistaken for thinking you have gone to a farm, but persevere and you will get to the mills eventually.
