Jackie Young, pictured on the left, who founded Summers Nursery in 2004, chose the name 'Summers' as this was Jackie's late Grandmother's maiden name. Elizabeth Summers had a great affection for all children. Summers Nursery caters for children aged from 3 months to 5 years, with three distinct age groupings enjoying their own safe and rewarding play area.

We are delighted to announce that Angela from Abricabeats (our weekly dance teacher) has just won the Raring to Go award for Best Baby and Toddler class in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Congratulations to Angela for her fantastic dance, movement and drama classes! The day she attends alternates each term to give all the children in the 3-5 room an opportunity to enjoy the experience provided.
Our menus work on a 5 week rotation and were created using the "Setting the table" document to promote healthy eating. We have a separate Under 1s menu and cater for individual or dietary requirements. Our menus are displayed in the hallway along with information about the 14 allergens contained within the meals we provide.
We have upped the use of the Interactive Learning Diary during this hard time, where daily communication between staff and parents is limited. You will see daily what activities/discussions your children have been part of. It has been so lovely to see so many of you adding in comments and photographs from home.
