Mark joined the Practice in 2004 and became the owner in 2006. He enjoys all aspects of general practice with a particular interest in restoring damaged teeth and motivating and educating patients to better self care. Outside of dentistry he enjoys keeping fit, travel and cycling. Rosie graduated from The University of Birmingham in 2012 and after working in an NHS practice in Bristol, moved down-under to New Zealand in 2014.
After 5 years of working in a private dental practice Rosie decided to make the move back to the UK to be closer to family and friends. She prides herself on her ability to put her patients at ease with her calm and easy-going manner, whilst simultaneously providing high-quality dentistry.

Services
We allow 40 minutes for an adult's and fifteen minutes for a child's new patient exam. This is our opportunity to find out about previous dental history including past experiences and any presenting concerns or desires. Medical history is checked and lifestyle factors relevant to oral health are taken into account.
Periodontology is that part of dentistry concerned with the care and treatment of the gums and bone that support the teeth. We have a team approach to this and our hygienists play an integral role. Our two Hygienists have worked with Mark for over 20 years, providing stable, consistent and personal care for our patients.
It is recommended that children should visit the dentist, as early as possible. Watching parents and siblings, 'having a ride in the chair', being given a sticker, all gets them used to the noises, smells and surroundings and allows them to start to build a relationship with the dental team. The earlier these visits start, the more relaxed children become.
Prevention underpins all our work and is our core value. We feel that any dental work should be carried out with a view to improving the stability of the mouth or within an already stable environment. The two main causes of tooth loss are decay and gum disease. The better you control or prevent these two problems, the more chance you have of keeping your teeth for life.
The most commonly used dental material used in our practice is composite resin, the white filling material. The other filling materials are dental amalgam (silver) and glass ionomer (white). Composite filling material uses adhesive technology and will bond directly onto the tooth surface. They are available in a variety of tooth coloured shades, so that they can be matched at the time of placement.
