Services
Dagwood have specialised in artwork, printing and packaging mock-ups of all types since 1969. We have extensive experience of printed packaging, proofing and all aspects of make-up and finishing.

Our focus is on the printing and creation of low volume, production standard mockup packaging - it could be your new designs, concepts or special editions and could be used for photography, market research, internal review, press samples, trade samples or even packaging props.
We create print ready production packaging artwork quickly and accurately from your design files and our expert artworkers will adapt them for print with precision and care. With 50 years experience, our reputation for producing accurate and consistent quality artwork is unrivalled in the industry.
Our in-house printing facilities include eight litho proofing presses so we can ensure the highest quality in ISO colour management. With 8 offset litho proofing presses, we have the largest and most flexible packaging proofing facilities in London. We produce litho plates in-house from your files and plates can be easily and quickly remade.
In terms of packaging development, we consider offset litho proofing as the best method of producing the highest quality print. Offset litho printing is a method of printing where an inked impression on a metal plate is transferred (or offset) onto a roller and from that to the printing surface. The artwork design to be printed is separated into colours and a metal printing plate created for each colour.
Advances in technology mean that we can now produce high quality packaging print digitally. A digital printer uses electronic artwork files to transfer dots of coloured ink onto a chosen substrate. It is generally restricted to CMYK (process colour), a system that uses a combination of 4 colours, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (the Key colour) overlapping each other to achieve the full colour spectrum.
