The Hall is ideally located in the heart of the East Midlands, near Loughborough and close to the borders of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Having entertained many noteworthy individuals over the centuries, including prime ministers and various members of the Royal Family, our enchanting family home can be transformed into a stunning venue that can be exclusively hired for weddings and other private events.
Sutton Bonington Hall may appear grandiose but from the moment you step foot in this beautiful house, you will feel completely and utterly at home here. The Hall has remained in the same family for generations, which is perhaps why such incredible warmth awaits beyond its doors. Queen Anne period features mix seamlessly with more contemporary fittings to create a country house that has its own distinctive identity.

Services
The exquisite classic dcor of the Hall, along with the beauty of its formal gardens, provide a calming and tranquil atmosphere that lends itself beautifully to smaller weddings and civil ceremonies. Many of our couples choose to get married in one of the area's ancient parish churches.
Sutton Bonington itself has two churches within easy walking distance, St Michael's and St Anne's, making Sutton Bonington Hall the perfect venue for your wedding reception. However, the Hall is also fully registered for civil ceremonies.

A beautiful setting for our Autumn wedding party. From the hospitality shown from our original meeting (complete with delicious coffee in the library) through the ups and downs of planning a postponed reception in light of COVID-19, Claire provided such a welcoming and personal experience. Claire was very flexible, and always got back to us promptly via email or telephone call.
The day itself brought autumn sunshine to the beautiful house and gardens- it was a such a fantastic setting. Several guests commented on how much they liked the venue. It is also very conveniently positioned for guests

I just wanted to say a huge thank you. I was a guest at a recent wedding and at the time the invitations came out, we responded informing of our gluten intolerance but the wedding had been postponed because of the pandemic and since then, I've had a baby and, weirdly, have stopped eating meat. I can't stomach it since she was born 5 months ago but I completely forgot to update the bride or the venue. Me and my hubby were going to share our meals so nothing went to waste but, I just mentioned to a lovely lady the situation on the off chance there was a vegetarian option and no drama, it was noted

I would recommend this venue to anyone. We held my Daughters wedding reception here and the owners and staff couldn't have been more caring to ensure the day went off superbly despite the semi relaxed covid restrictions. The catering staff were attentive and the food delicious and the venue itself is beautiful.

From the moment we saw Sutton Bonington Hall we fell in love with the intimate, formal setting as well as the beautiful gardens. The exclusivity and fact that they only take a limited amount of weddings a year (no conveyor belt!) really made us feel looked after and that we were in safe hands!
From the start Claire's communication and attention to detail really stood out giving peace of mind from the very start. We would highly recommend anyone searching for a wedding venue to visit Sutton Bonington Hall!
Thank you for all of your help Claire!

Ive photographed numerous weddings now at Sutton Bonington Hall and every time I step through the gates I'm wowed by the stunning setting. Forget the house for a second (which is beautiful in itself), the gardens are breathtaking and pretty much a photographers dream.
The staff have always been welcoming to me and made my job easier by allowing me to access areas and be on hand to help.
This has to be one of Leicestershires best wedding venues.

We had our wedding at Sutton Bonington Hall this May. Claire, the owner was amazing to deal with, she really welcomed us to her home and cared about out wedding day which made us feel so special. Claire really takes time to get to know you as a couple, this personal approach and genuine interest in us as a couple made a difference and that is why we picked Sutton Bonington Hall as our wedding venue. The venue speaks for itself, the gardens are beautiful and the hall is grand but has an informal relaxed style. The conservatory with the views overlooking the garden is just breathtaking and the drawing

Our wedding at Sutton Bonington Hall was fantastic, the house is a brilliant venue and everyone couldn't do enough to help to make the day go well. It rained pretty much all day but the Hall's rooms are plenty spacious for it not to feel crowded or stuffy and there were lots of places to take photographs inside. There's also loads of parking, plenty of B&B's nearby for guests and good transport links.
The gardens (in better weather!) are also lovely and would make an ideal place for photographs
