Dalmunzie Estate & Golf Course
Dalmunzie Castle is a stunning quintessential Laird's mansion, turreted in the Scots Baronial style and standing proudly at the head of a 6500-acre estate dating back to 1510. Dalmunzie is nestled in the heart of Glenshee and is surrounded by breathtakingly mountains, glens and little rivers all a few steps away from the front door.

The hotel has a golf course attached for those with a need to hit a few balls. Despite its isolation, Dalmunzie is less than two hours away from Edinburgh airport and can be reached down a long 2-mile driveway just off the A93. Peace and tranquillity is a feature of life at Dalmunzie with fires and lounges contributing to a relaxing haven from the outside world.
Services
Although hidden at the end of a quiet and secluded glen, Dalmunzie has been witness to many events over thousands of years. The visitor today can easily be unaware that Dalmunzie was once home to hundreds of people speaking a language that has only recently disappeared.

The standing stone and burial cairn near the Glenshee parish church date from the Bronze age when people were first settling the area, and the fermtoun of Cuthil (gaelic for clearing in the forest) is of ancient origin and indicates a time when the glen was still heavily wooded.
We are especially proud of the attentive yet relaxed service provided at Dalmunzie where guests are made to feel at home in their own Highland retreat. We look forward to welcoming you to Dalmunzie, a special place that projects many of the emotions Scotland has to offer. The lounge area offers a relaxed place where guests can often meet and socialise with other guests.
At Dalmunzie we feel particularly proud of the Food & Beverage we provide. Whether it's a hearty breakfast in preparation for a big day, a relaxing lunch between golf rounds, or dressing up for a special dinner, we are confident our chefs can provide guests with a dining experience to remember.

Our chefs have a desire to make the best use of the freshest Scottish ingredients available locally and seasonally, while giving an exceptional dining experience to represent Scotland and its cuisine in the best way possible. Our Chef Brigade have an excellent reputation for outstanding meals and work strongly as a talented team.
Located on a spectacular 6500-acre estate we take our leisure seriously at Dalmunzie and can offer a wide array of activities to keep the most active guest satisfied. This includes information on golf, walking, days out, castles to visit, skiing and much more! Dalmunzie golf course is amongst Britain's highest and is enveloped by stunning mountain scenery.
Dalmunzie Castle Hotel has served as a venue for: Scientific conferences coordinated by leading UK Universities, Corporate business meetings and Parties to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays and other important occasions. Dalmunzie offers a special environment away from the pressures of the office for staff to build successful working relationships and interact with people in a positive way to achieve the organizational goals.

Stunning settings. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Traditional interiors. Double room is spacious, though the wardrobe and draws could be upgraded in the traditional style to include more space. Overall would go back, especially as its only ten minutes from Glenshee ski centre.

We've just spent New Year's Eve here and it was brilliant!
I normally don't like New Year's Eve so decided to travel up to Scotland to stay in Dalmunzie Castle. They had a package for new year's eve that also included the 2nd January (incidentally my birthday).
The hotel is charming and the staff were excellent. It is small enough to be able to meet the other guests and spend time chatting by the log/coal fires dotted around.
The food was superb. Each meal well presented with excellent service. The staff are a credit to the hotel.
For the more active, there's no shortage of things to do. My

Fabulous location. Welcoming and helpful staff. Cosy atmosphere with wonderful food. A little tired in places, nothing a little investment can't overcome. A definite recommend for those wanting something different.

Lovely location , lots of character to the hotel, the hotel is very clean, the staff are all first class, professional throughout our stay. Drinks are expensive, and you don’t know the prices until you get your final bill because throughout your stay everything is added daily. Food is also expensive be prepared to pay on average each evening £50-£60 per person , average cost of meal per person is £45 , so depending on what you drink can cost you a pretty penny.
One lime and Soda is £4.50, a bottle of pale Ale £6.95, average price per bottle of wine £50. Do not buy soup and a sandwich from

Location, hotel accommodation and staff were amazing! Some nice (short and long) walks you can do from the hotel too! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was food - it was OK but wasn't something I would come back for.

I travelled to Scotland with my father 2 years ago early spring, we rent a car and went north to Explorer the highlands. We stayed at different hotels every night, this place was absolutely amazing. Beautiful walking trails and easy enough for my father to walk with me, stunning view any direction you looked.
I loved seeing my father so satisfied, happy and calm.
The staff was so sweet and really took care of us, The food was delicious. We only stayed one night because it was our last day before travelling back home so we had to go up really early before breakfast. But The Lady was awake, gave
