Properties can be purchased as a leasehold and for this reason as the owner of a leasehold property it is in your interest to understand the legal status of ownership of a leasehold property. Lease hold properties can be purpose built flats, flats in converted houses, flats and maisonettes above retail premises or indeed many houses are sold as leasehold properties.
The following deals with information you may need to consider when buying a New Build property. When you first reserve a New Build property you will usually be given a deadline for exchanging contracts. This is quite normal for a New Build property and if you have an existing property to sell as long as the developer can see progress being made and they are kept up to date there are not usually any issues with the developer.
Disbursements are payments related to your sale or purchase which are made to a third party by us on your behalf. In addition to the above and when acting on a sale we would also repay any mortgage over your property on the day of completion. Unless instructed otherwise by you we would also discharge your estate agents account on your behalf on the day of completion.

I have used Clive Roberts of Minahan Hirst on two occasions now. The first time was several years ago when he did conveyancing for me when I bought and sold my own home. I have just used him again to do the conveyancing on another property I was selling.
