We ask for security deposits equating to 5 weeks rent on a tenancy. So for example if the rent is 700 per month, the deposit will be 807.69. However as per the Tenant Fee Ban Legislation 2019 we are allowed a holding deposit which equates to a week's rent to hold the property for 15 days and commence referencing.
Stamp duty is a tax paid by people buying property, although it varies slightly across the UK. The amount handed to the government depends on where you are in the UK, and the price of the property. See further details below. After this date, until the end of September, there will be a staggered return to the previous stamp duty rates.

I wanted to give a big shout out to the whole team at Humberstones, although we were not the paying customers i.e. selling via them , (we were supporting my cousin to purchase a property through them)
It was an unusual set of circumstances around my cousin who had challenging needs and i can't stress enough how impressed we were with every member of the team we connected with. Humberstones dealt with the sale and onward purchase. The covid restrictions came into effect which delayed things but as soon as restriction allowed viewings commenced with updates and regular feedback .

The team at Humberstone's Quinton branch were great to work with, in particular Ian Kendrick, James and Nathan Walton. I really never understood the value of estate agents and was cynical of their worth. However, thank goodness I choose Humberstones, I cannot explain enough about the support and efforts they made to help me with both the sale of my property and onward purchase. Adam met us at our property, discussed the terms and conditions and told us what he thought it was worth. We listed the house with Humberstones and in four days it was sold for the asking price. Humberstones staff geed the solicitors along until the signing. Therefor we would highly recommend Humberstones if you want a seamless house sale.

My first experience with Humberstones was back in 2014 when I sold a property through them, very good service and pricing. This year I purchased a property through Humberstones with my partner, the service I have received is incredible. Starting with Nathan who did his upmost to get us a weekend viewing on the property as my partner was restricted… due to working hours. During lockdown Adam took over and went above and beyond for us as we had a newborn baby in hospital, he kept on top of the solicitors chasing for updates etc when I couldn’t get round to it, Sue was fantastic once
