I'm Vanessa May and I specialise in supporting women who feel under stress and out of balance. This may be manifesting as fatigue, hormonal imbalance, low mood or anxiety. If this sounds like you, then I can help. Because I work holistically, I recognise that each person is an individual with unique requirements.

I consider the whole person - the emotional state as well as the physical. Most importantly, I aim to make sure you feel listened to. With a degree in nutritional medicine and fourteen years experience as a BANT registered nutritional therapist, I can help you address the root cause of a health concern.

Extremely concerned about my acne, I was referred by a family member to visit wellbeing and nutrition- who spoke very highly of Vanessa. To this day, I am very thankful that I was advised to visit. I have been seeing Vanessa since September 2014 and have found her sessions very helpful. I went for a number of reasons including a lack of energy and skin problems such as eczema and rosacea. Vanessa takes a comprehensive look at your diet and is able to spot the weaknesses and factors that are likely to be contributing to regular and perpetual problems in one's life. I had for example an over-reliance on sugary and carbohydrate based foods. By seeing Vanessa she was able to see that it was necessary to re-balance my diet towards more protein and vegetables. When I first went to see Vanessa I struggled with fussy eating, hormonal issues and anxiety. Vanessa is very approachable and patient. I felt able to talk to her about anything, her kind and caring approach meant I never felt anything was too silly to discuss. I took my daughter to see Vanessa as I was concerned that her diet was not as good as it could be. She seemed to be eating too many biscuits and chocolate and not enough of her 5 a day! After a lovely relaxed chat with Vanessa my daughter was quite shocked when she realised how much sugar she had in her diet. However she seemed enthused by the consultation and after our morning appointment we went straight to the supermarket and stocked up with all the healthy options Vanessa had suggested. Since working with Vanessa, I have seen an improvement in my overall health and wellbeing. I'm much more conscious of food choices (but in a good way!) and can see a light at the end of the tunnel in terms of weight loss and improved mood.
What's great is that Vanessa keeps me on track with regular contact and recognises that we are all human when I cave in and order takeaway pizzas :).

Vanessa helps me to manage my polycystic ovary symptoms naturally which included heavy painful periods, tiredness, cravings and low mood.
