Hampstead Piano Academy is a private music school in Hampstead London that provides one to one piano tuition at all levels and ages, from young beginners to enthusiastic adults. Piano lessons in Hampstead take place at our studio in NW3. It is based in a quiet street within walking distance to public transport and nearby parking.
Additionally, our piano studio is located in close proximity to surrounding areas such as St. John's Wood, Golders Green and the London borough of Camden: Hampstead Village, West Hampstead, Swiss Cottage or Belsize Park. I have been taking piano lessons with Mario for more than two years. I think Mario has all the qualities of a good teacher, especially when it comes to teaching adults (which I think can be very challenging). He is very knowledgable, patient, organised and creative in his way of teaching. There is always a balanced combination of theory, technique and fun in his lessons. I absolutely recommend him.

Mario and Angela are a strong team dedicated to providing quality musical services to young musicians. Mario provided accompaniment to my children's ABRSM level 2 violin exam, which they both got merit grates. Mario was instructive during their performance preparation and very dependable as a accompanist.

Angela is a brilliant pianist and a fantastic teacher. She is very patient and has inspired me and my daughter to want to play to the best of our abilities. She has taught both of us to pay very close attention to the musicality of the pieces we learn which has led to my daughter gaining two distinctions in her exams. I have learnt more from Angela about playing the piano in 3 years than in 10 years of lessons with other teachers. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Hampstead Piano Academy to anyone looking to build a strong Piano foundation through a structured and enjoyable learning experience. Mario is exceptional. He has a ton of experience and endless patience. He helped my daughter prepare for ABRSM practical exam where she received Distinction. He can also customize the learning experience to suit anyone's level.

Angela is an amazing teacher with children, she goes the extra mile to make the learning fun and manageable, especially with the extra time spending during Lockdown to assist the virtual leaning!
Our two kids are beginners and they made big progress since started 6 months ago. I have to say one of my kids had some negative piano experience elsewhere previously, and we contacted Mario to just try to see if interest could be regained . Angela has made it possible and successful within 2 classes. What make Hampstead Piano Academy so special and valuable is their passion and sincerity in their work

I have 8 years old daughter who has been taking lesson for 1.5 years from Angela and she really likes her. Angela is experienced teacher and also know how to engage each child's need. She is structure but also has flexibility, patience and fun. Very happy and pleasant personal too. I highly recommend to other parents / students too!

I took jazz piano lessons from Mario after years of dropping piano playing and he got me back on track. I cannot recommend him enough. He is very talented both as a pianist and as a teacher, and knows how to get anyone excited about piano. I also had the chance to meet Angela and I found they are both just genuinely amazing people to meet =)
