With 26 years' experience as a blacksmith. Paul Gilbert is very experienced in what he does. With a lifelong passion in blacksmithing, Paul works from his Devon based workshop but works across the United Kingdom from London to Exeter and from Bath to Surrey. Paul considers all types of work and is happy to design and create 100% bespoke pieces, regardless of where you live in the world.
When getting your own bespoke work completed, the design process is essential to make sure you are receiving the piece you want. To ensure you are included in the build of your sculpture, Paul will draw out a few designs so you can get the right one for you. Whatever the scale, shape, size of the piece of ironwork you need, this design process has a separate cost to the actual build of your piece.
All of the exterior ironwork produced by Paul Gilbert, be it railings, fences or gates is galvanised to protect against the elements. Thanks to this attention to detail your wrought iron gate will remain in excellent condition and rust free whatever the Devon weather decides to do. Wrought iron gates are made from metal which has been crafted into its shape by heating and hammering by a skilled blacksmith.
