Acupuncture is a technique of inserting and manipulating fine filiform needles into specific points on the body with the aim of relieving pain and for therapeutic purposes. Note that these needles are much finer than the needles used for injections which clients will have experienced.
Acupuncture therapy regulates the flow of Qi(Chi) and Blood, tonifying where there is deficiency, draining where there is excess, and promoting free flow where there is stagnation.TCM operates on the human body as a whole, and that involves several "systems of function" generally named after anatomical organs but not directly associated with them.

Acupuncture in the body, there are 12 meridians which correspond to the internal organs, that is the lung, heart, liver, gut, bladder, kidney, gall bladder, intestines, stomach, spleen etc. Ear acupuncture, or Auricular therapy: the ear has more than 200 acupuncture points that correspond to organs and functions of body, such as: heart, lung, liver, kidney, bladder, throat, sinuses etc. Acupuncturists can help people suffering from headaches, asthma, insomnia, and so forth, by activating the the ear points.
Pain, dysfunction, disease and bad luck are all the result of energy imbalances and can be overcome by restoring balance between the complementary yet opposing expressions of Chi known as Yin and Yang. Here at Chisense our approach is to determine the cause of these imbalances rather than just treating the symptoms.
Tuina literally translates as 'push' and 'grasp' and involves applying finger pressure to specific points on the Meridians whilst also incorporating gentle massage to directly influence the flow of Chi. Put simply, Tuina is like Acupuncture without the needles!
As well as relaxing the body and mind by balancing chi and facilitating improved blood flow and the removal of toxic waste, Tuina is also used preventatively to protect health and build up immunity.Tuina is the basis upon which many Modern Complementary Therapies are based, including Shiatsu and Deep Tissue Massage, all of which can also be offered by your Chisense therapist.

Wen is an extremely kind, personable, and knowledgeable eastern healer who works hard to understand your body's challenges and needs. Her work doesn't just start and finish during your session with her, but she gives advice on food, exercise, sleep etc. Sessions with her are a valuable complement to your own wellness/life routine.

Meant to write a review the last time I visited Wen . And yesterday I visited Wen for an excruciating neck and shoulder injury with severe pain in the shoulders. Wen Knew exactly where my pain was coming from and was able to carefully select the channels on my body. I’m in the healing process now, and very happy with the level of service
Highly recommended and worth every penny

Dr Wen is brilliant! The experience from the get go was so relaxing and she really listens and gets to understand your body and how it’s functioning. Then I had my first acupuncture session; I’ve had acupuncture before but nothing like this, I felt currents of electricity as some of the needles went in and when’s seen left me to relax my body felt like it wasn’t mine any more, a sheer state of relaxation. There were odd sensations of pain and warmth which Wen mentioned may happen and was your body opening up and blood flowing more freely! Will keep updated on my progress in terms of health

I have been getting excellent results with acupuncture for over 20 years so when I became ill on holiday in London, I sought out an acupuncturist right away. I found Wen to be top notch. I would definitely seek an appointment with her again if I needed help when in the area. I only wish she were in my hometown because she was clearly very skilled and experienced as well as caring and thoughtful.

Wen is a wonderful lady, cares about you, knows you well and treat the problems or issues that you got with EXCELLENTS results. I have recommended Wen to various friends and they loved. I used her for 4 times or so, the treatment is as good as I am cured and no need to visit so often anymore! but my brain and body needs her some time so I try to come back every six months ! Thanks Wen for being an incredible doctor and person!

I went to see Wen this week with a trapped nerve in my shoulder and it's made a huge difference in a good way. Wen is a lovely, kind person who although is 'stabbing' you with needles, does it in the best way possible and talks you through the whole process so you feel comfortable. It's also great to feel the release that the needles bring so even if you're not in pain, you should give it a try. Thanks Wen

Professional, detailed and caring service. Wen was flexible in fitting me in last minute for Accupuncture as I was suffering from a bad back sprain injury. Asked me lots of questions before applying the needles. It was an intense session, my first ever Accupuncture, but she talks you through and is very reassuring. She is very good at what she does and has a natural way about her. Lucky to have found her!
