Precision Laser Processing (PLP) is a Midlands based sub contract company that has been established for over 25 years. We undertake solutions in the Aerospace, Automotive, Medical and other industrial markets. Our team of experts is ready to process your next project. PLP specialise in laser and waterjet cutting, laser drilling and laser welding using Co2 5 axis and flat bed lasers, multi axis yag lasers and 5 axis waterjet cutting machines and sheet metal fabrication.

The waterjet at PLP is currently the largest of its kind in any sub contract company in the UK with a capacity in both 2D and 3D (5 axis). It is capable of handling components up to 6000mm x 3000mm x 730mm high and can cut materials up to 250mm thick. The machine is fitted with twin cutting heads (2D & 5 axis) a drilling unit and rotary axis capability.
PLP benefits from having two 5 axis Co2 lasers and a team of CAD engineers waiting to process your enquiry. PLP has twin bed technology enabling duel process capabilities and smart probe features for setting datum's for jigs and fixtures. Our 3D CAD package allows us to process customers components using there IGES / STP files whether it's a one off piece or a larger production batch.
PLP's flat bed lasers have a cutting area of 3000mm x 1500mm and can cut up to 25mm thick in mild steel, 20mmin stainless steel and 12mm in aluminium. We can also process titanium up to 5mm thick for both aerospace and automotive components. Our flat bed lasers come with full automated load/unloaders to cope with production capabilities and 24 hour operation.
