We are a family run business with Kevin starting out in 1972 with British Gas. In 1985, Kevin set up Kevin O'Brien Gas Services with his wife Kate, who ran the showroom. In 2018, Kevin stepped down for his well earned retirement and handed the business over to his son Robert and his wife Kate to continue running the family business.

We have trained many apprentices over the years, most of whom are still working alongside us to the present day. Kevin O'Brien Gas Services specialise in the service, instalation and repair of all domestic gas appliances and central heating systems. Altogether, we have 87 years of invaluable experience within the gas industry.

In 1986 Kevin left British Gas and could see a niche in the market to set up a independent Gas servicing business. In 1996 they were joined by their son Robert and slowly with the help of Paul Shaw as well built up a very knowledgeable team. Over the years we have trained apprentices and continue to do so, we believe this helps us train our engineers thoroughly and to be the best.
Here at Kevin O'Brien Gas Services our friendly team are available to advise you on the best boiler to suit your lifestyle, household and budget. If you are a landlord, you are required by law to ensure all gas appliances supplied in your rental property are Gas Safety Checked annually.

Experiencing a problem with your boiler shouldn't be a nightmare, and thankfully our experienced Gas Safe registered boiler specialists can diagnose, repair and service.An unvented hot water cylinder is fed directly from the cold mains water feed which eliminates the need for a cold water tank in the loft.
If sludge and debris is not removed from heating systems, it can accumulate in radiators, pipework and heat exchangers, causing severe blockages. This diminishes the transfer of heat and can result in pipe, radiator valve and heating controls being damaged. In some cases this will eventually lead to the premature failure of the boiler.
An unvented hot water cylinder is fed directly from the cold mains water feed which eliminates the need for a cold water tank in the loft. Because it relies on mains pressure rather than gravity, it can be situated almost anywhere and means the performance is great. It is vitally important that an unvented cylinder is serviced on an annual basis to ensure that it is safe and that the expansion vessel and relief valves are functioning correctly.

Thursday night noticed boiler not working, called Kevin O'Brien's first thing Friday and spoke to a very nice lady who assured me someone would come out that day to look at it. Within 2 hours Rob O'Brien arrived got the boiler working wirhin 10 minutes and was gone, brilliant. I have used Kevin O'Brien's firm for over 15 years and have always found them excellent.

Needed an annual service on our gas combi boiler and was impressed with this company from the outset. Appointment was arranged over the telephone with a very friendly lady who advised me of the competitive price upfront and the date / time was negotiated with flexibility to suit our needs. The engineer, Shane, turned up on time and was extremely friendly, competent, efficient, clean and respectful of our home - all qualities that can be very hard to find in tradesmen these days! As a result, although this is the first time we have used their services, having only moved into the area fairly recently

I would highly recommend this company. They arrived on time, sorted my boiler which I had been told by someone else, needed replacing! It's nice to see people take pride in what they do and have great customer service. I Wii be using them from now on 😊

Amazing service! My mum has dementia and had no hot water - she was very anxious! I emailed Kevin from London and he responded within an hour - mum is sorted and I am very grateful. What a fantastic service - thank you Kevin.

Just had a new boiler, and bathroom radiator installed. Engineers very friendly, tidied up after themselves, explained everything. Would certainly recommend this company .

Sorry for the late review. I can't speak highly enough of Kevin and the team. They did an excellent job, replacing our boiler and heating system. When we've phoned for advice and support on the combi boiler system (which was new to us), they have gone over and above, going out of their way to explain everything. Nothing is ever too much trouble. They are, without doubt, the best trades people we have worked with. Professional, efficient, hard-working and friendly. I highly recommend Kevin, Rob and team.
