All our instructors have achieved their black belts through the WYSOK association (West Yorkshire Schools of Karate & Oriental Arts) to which we are proud to belong. Our adult instructors are all CRB/DBS cleared, 1st aid certified and fully insured for your peace of mind. IRUKA promotes self-respect and respect for others. No matter what your age, race, gender, ability, religion or background, we are all equal at our club.
Services
PeeWee Club is a special karate class designed for younger children. They have their own lessons twice a week with fully qualified male and female instructors. Classes are between 1 & 1.5hrs long and are held before the main class begins. This is a great way to introduce children to karate and for them to make new friends.
How old do I have to be to do karate? We take Children from as young as four years old and welcome Parents too in the 9+ class if you would like to train with your Child. Remember you are never too old to try something new. I am an Adult, can i start or come to the club to train? We no longer have adult places available unless your Child is an active member or wants to become a member where you can train with them in the 9+ class.
