Amazing food. Let down by extremely poor service.
You are given a menu and given less than a couple of minutes to decide before your hassled by the waitress for you order. It was very disorganised with at least 4 different members of staff serving us.
Then when it comes to paying very frustrating. After 20 mins of trying to get the attention of our waitress who was purposely avoiding looking at us. Which could be forgiven if it was busy but it was quiet by this point with only a handfull of people in the restaurant.
We then asked who we can only assume was the manager/supervisor for the bill

Tonight 3 of sat down to eat, first time for me at Gino's, mum had pasta, dad had peperoni pizza, I had a ham and mushroom pizza, as they were out of pastrami, but all 3 meals were really good, they nailed the bread on the pizza's which is key for a good score. Italian girl who served us had eyes that were worth 6 stars. Sat next to the door which did not close properly and was a bit cold at times. So eyes and door cancelled each other out and left with 5 stars for food. Cheers!

Came in from the Christmas market was told cash only (no sign on the door) when we ordered drinks they brought the smallest bottles of lemonade and coke (200ml) and yet it was £2 a glass. We were not given any lunch menus despite arriving at 2:30. We asked for a jug of water and were given a glass which had black specks in it. When we got our food my carbonara was super peppery and no one even checked on us so I couldn't even get it changed. Finally when the bill arrived they'd added on a 10% charge with no indication what it was or whether it was optional. I would not recommend this place.

We ordered everything in one go as we had a tour of the castle booked straight after lunch, they were great and we had dinner eaten, left overs foil wrapped and ice cream to go within an hour. Calzone was very tasty. Kids portions were large. They could have shared a single portion. Kids eat free when adults order a meal between 1200 and 1430 which is a bonus when your on a budget.

Dishonest: I’m so sad to write this review, but please be careful if you are ordering before 4:30 wishing to catch the daytime menu prices. I know we ordered before 4:30 but the waiter insisted we didn’t,… saying he wrote the time on our order. I am an honest person and this simply wasn’t true, we purposely had an eye on the clock to qualify for the deal. The only ounce of evidence I have is that our bill is timed 4:58, which we waited a while for. To think that we were able to order, have meal cooked and eat with a 3yr old in 28 minutes is a joke!

I would not recommend ginos to anyone, there was 18 of us we preordered our meals and table for 20:30 it took 45/50 minutes to arrive. Between the first meal out and last meal out was 15 minutes and the last meal was cold and when this was sent back the manager came out to argue with us about the tempature of the meal. When we complained we were… wrong not the manger and he stormed off not even apologising saying it was his family restaurant and he wasn't going to spoken to this way. To say that we spoke to the manger about the meals days previously to make sure everything was correct and

We visit Lincoln regularly and always book when we are here. They even catered for around 35 people the night before our wedding and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Not 1 complaint. The staff are always polite and competent. The atmosphere is great too. Brilliant place and we absolutely love it. Definitely 5*. The only thing i would say is that i dont agree with a service charge being added to the bill. I think it should be down to the customer to decide what tip to leave depending on the service they receive.

Located at the top end of Lincoln tucked away jus off the main street you might expect it to pamper to the obvious tourist trade that congregates around the cathederale a couple of minutes away.
Nice atmosphere combioned with authentic fayre and a resonable price. Only ever had pizza and always satisfied.

Extremely popular restaurant, in a great location if you find yourself in Lincoln and hankering for some good Italian food.
We've been here a couple of times during various stays in Lincoln, both in a big group and as just the three of us. The restaurant copes very well given how busy it gets, and how big it is (seating over two floors), and has a good selection of Italian food (pizza, pasta, risotto, chicken and fish dishes). The food itself receives good reviews from friends we have dined with, and while I agree, I have yet to have anything mind blowing.
Big tip: in order to avoid being

This place was even on a Monday evening packed solidly and since we didn't have a reservation we had to wait for about 20 minutes to get seated...but that was quite alright, as we waited in the upstairs area while enjoying some drinks. And here is where I have to really commend the waiting staff: they were really helpful and super nice, although they were really busy!
Alas, I kind of can't give this place a higher star-rating, mostly because food-wise it was just an ok-experience...well, maybe I should rephrase: food wise it was what I expected from a pizzeria - ok pizza, ok salads etc

The service was good.
Nice Buzz about the place.
Nice Decore.
Food was OK Nothing wrong but very expensive for what you got.
Pork Ribs for Starter £8!!! ribs are the cheapest bit of the pig!!!!! At Gino's as at Dammon's they think that the Pork ribs are made of Sirloin Steak.!!!
The tables are really close together, just hope the people on the next table have had a shower.
If you've got a big bum you can knock the drinks over on the table next to you.
Would not return unless someone else is paying.
