Our core business is providing professional, personal, high value solutions to your accounting and taxation needs. Short term accountancy and tax compliance and planning can often conflict with the long term financial objectives of a business or an individual. Jeff qualified as an accountant in 1995, joining Ashdown Hurrey shortly afterwards. Since becoming a director, Jeff has taken responsibility for the firm's internal financial arrangements and his client portfolio includes some of the larger corporate entities who benefit from his strategic advice. Jeff is another keen golfer and sports enthusiast - this and the attentions of his young family ensure that all his spare time is fully utilised.
Sue runs the firm's Personal Tax Division and she has done so for many years. Her clients value the friendly personal service she provides, where her genuine interest in the wellbeing of those concerned extends far beyond purely their financial needs. Sue and her husband, Chris, have two grown-up daughters and twin grandchildren, so babysitting duties are to the fore.
In addition to overseeing his own portfolio of general clients, Steve is heavily involved in the practice's charity and not-for-profit division, being both a Fellowship Member of the Association of Charitable Independent Examiners and holding the Diploma in Charity Accounting from ICAEW.
Steve originally trained as a Chartered Accountant with Hamilton & Wilton, who amalgamated with Ashdown Hurrey in 1991, so has many years of experience within the profession locally.As well as working with charities in a professional capacity, Steve is, in a personal capacity, a trustee of a local charity and enjoys the hands-on experience this appointment gives him.

Our sister company, Ashdown Hurrey Auditors Limited, aims to deal with accounting and audit regulations with as little hassle as possible, so that you can get on with running your business. The company is led by our experienced senior audit staff who are qualified to deal with all statutory and bespoke audit assignments.
