About Steve Steve set the company up in 1995 having worked in the construction industry since 1980. He is a time-served joiner who went on. About Jordan Born and raised in the sunny North East, Jordan has now established his family on the Wirral. Having met his partner while studying. About Emma Emma began her career with Courtley back in 2009, as an administrative assistant to the safety advisors.
Since we started Courtley Health and Safety in 1995, a few things have changed. These twenty plus years have allowed us a front row seat to see how health and safety law and practice has developed alongside changes in society. Many years ago, it was all very prescriptive. Laws would state employers must do this and that.
Steve set the company up in 1995 having worked in the construction industry since 1980. He is a time-served joiner who went on to become a sub-contractor, site manager, and then project manager on many schemes. These could be small to multi-million pound projects. Clients included pharmaceutical manufacturers, retail outlets and many others.
Born and raised in the sunny North East, Jordan has now established his family on the Wirral. Having met his partner while studying for his degree at Lancaster University. His early career is a mix from different industries with his skills leading him in to management positions. He heads the team of safety advisors here at Courtley demonstrating great leadership.

Just passed my smsts course recently and gotta say Steve Kell made the intense course enjoyable and really made the course enjoyable as he possibly could .Courtley have really excelled in getting him ,but it doesn't surprise me after only being involved with Courtley through my present employers for the past 18 months I have nothing but great admiration for a superb company

Even thought the tutor (Steve) was very knowledgeable he tended to go off on a tangent which wasn't related to course subject. He tended to take the mickey out of people maybe to make himself feel better and obtain laughs from the audience. My advice don't attend if you take offence easily. We weren't shown how to erect a PASMA tower and I had never put up a mini scaffold tower before yet again he poked fun at others and myself and expected us to know it, told us to refer to the manufacturers instructions, yet when I did this he told me a different way.
