I have found it very good in high temperatures in Portugal, 38c daytime max often and very hot at night this summer. I don't know how we would have slept without it, we had it pointed at the bed all night. It is very expensive but I am glad I bought it. I have had it for 18 months and after 2 months the fan would only work on maximum output (better than the other way around). I contacted Transcool who sent me a prepaid "voucher" to return it and |t was returned to me within a few days. I have used it for 3 months solidly in Portugal this year with no problems. Don't expect it to be as good as air
