Fersenwolle by Lang Yarns, this is the JAWOLL HEEL AND TOE STRENGTHENING, a 5g reel of yarn for adding strength to heels and toes in order to add to the lifespan of your handknitted socks. Just knit along with the yarn you are using to give that extra robustness. Available in selected Jawoll colours.
Classic wool/nylon sock yarn by Lang Yarns: 50g ball (= 210m) with heel strengthening in more than 60 plain and marled shades! Great for combining, contrasting and colourwork. A little spool of matching heel/toe strengthening is inside each skein, this can be knitted in with the sock wool at points where the wear is greatest to ensure that your handmade socks stay in tip top condition for longer.
TWIN SOXX by LANG YARNS, for matching self-striping socks! 100g ball of wool/nylon sock yarn (420m) with two identical colour repeats in the one ball. You begin the first sock with the yarn from the inside of the ball. After about 200m you will find a length of unprinted yarn - cut this away - then the colour repeat begins again so you can knit the second sock to match the first.
NEW! ZAUBER PERLEN is a 4-ply gradient fade set made up of 7 mini balls of yarn - a string of pearls. Each little ball carries one strand on from the colour beside it, so that you have 7 stages in the gradient. You have the shades presented separately so that you can select how to apply them in your work.
LUSSO is a super light lace-weight yarn consisting of fine merino, silk, baby camel hair and super kid mohair. The baby camel component gives the yarn a wonderful softness and lovely volume. The camel hair comes from Asia - for hand-knitting yarns the downy undercoat is used. In spring, this hair falls out in clumps, when the animals shed their coat.
