Sunuser was founded in 1981 by 23-year-old Environmental Science graduate Sally Hayton. From humble beginnings installing solar thermal systems, few could have predicted our rise to become the UK's leading domestic solar thermal installer. We have always prided ourselves on exceeding customers' expectations and offering value for money over the long term.
That's why the systems we've installed since 1981 are still saving our customers money and we're still servicing them. Like our company, our solar systems are built to last. With our expertise, we have always repaired and serviced both domestic and commercial solar thermal systems installed by others.

Services
Established in 1981, Sunuser Limited is family run and has installed over 50,000 solar panels nationwide. People of all ages and backgrounds throughout the UK are benefiting from our vast experience and trusted reputation. Established in 1981, Sunuser Limited are multi-award winning solar experts. We've installed over 50,000 solar panels nationwide and have been installing and servicing solar thermal (water heating) systems for over 38 years.
A consultation is underway for this new scheme which, once in place, should ensure that homeowners are paid for the electricity they export to the grid. The expertise Sunuser has gained in installing over 50,000 solar thermal panels has been effectively transferred to our 'A' Grade solar PV systems.
The A Grade PV modules Sunuser provide convert energy from the sun, via chemical reactions to electricity. Cables from the modules transfer the Direct Current (DC) electricity to an inverter, which converts it to Alternating Current (AC). The AC then passes through a meter to measure the kWh of electricity generated.
The installation of an 'A' Grade Sunuser PV system causes minimal disruption to your daily routine and a domestic installation is usually completed within a day to a day and a half. Commercial installations can take a week or longer depending on system size and location. With modules weighing just 20kg, a system does not damage your roof, nor does it damage your existing electrical infrastructure.
The Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) is the government's planned replacement for the FiT scheme. Once in place, the SEG should ensure that homeowners are paid for the electricity they export to the grid. A government consultation is underway and we're awaiting details of its launch. We'll keep you updated.

Our 6 year-old south-facing Sunuser panels provide very hot water, yes, but only in full sun. In Winter we might get 55 degrees if it's sunny. In Summer we can get 85 degrees. This brings its own perils - touch a hot tap or pipe momentarily and you will get scalded. So not suitable if you have children. Whatever the season, if it's at all cloudy, we have to put the gas on to get hot water. There's a heatwave just now but the system isn't giving us any hot water and nothing on the control panel says why it's not working. We bought the house with the panels already installed. We would never in a

We had our panels (4 of) installed fifteen years ago. During the warm months the hot water controller from the central heating is off. As a former efficiency engineer what impresses me most is that during the cold months our panels lift the base water temperature in the tank quite a lot - saving on gas usage. Best investment we have ever made.

My wife and I chose Sunuser over 20 years ago to install solar collectors on the roof of our Chichester home. It has proved to be possibly the best home product that we have ever purchased. It has never gone wrong, works as well now (and looks as good) as the day it was installed, and gives us between 1,800 and 2,200 hours of free solar power every year. The more hot water we use, the more we get. The system has more than paid for itself.

We've had Sunuser solar panels since 2003 heating our water in the sunny months so were delighted to discover that Sunuser now do the PV generating system as well and had that installed in 2013. We've really noticed the difference in both our gas and electricity bills which we pay by direct debit. This year we've had a refund from our gas account as we had paid much more than we need to each month, and our electricity account, which was on the debit side, has now become extremely healthy without any additional payment from us. What's more we get a cheque very few months in payment for the electricity
