Services
Heather started her teaching career in Germany before returning back to the UK in 1981 making her home here in Norwich. After holding classes in many venues in the city, the school moved into its own premises at 47 Cowgate Street, where the school continues to grow today. After having her own professional dancing career, Sarah, her daughter, joined her in 1993.
I truly hope you'll find something of interest as we certainly have plenty to offer, regardless of your age, ability, or aims. I have been involved in the performing arts industry from an early age, and now I really enjoy investing time and effort into our school and in meeting the needs of our students.
A form of theatrical dance that has evolved over hundreds of years from its origins in France. It requires specific training due to its technical nature. Ballet provides a firm structure for other dance disciplines, due its precision of movement and control of the body, and for this reason this subject is compulsory for some groups throughout the school.
Commercial dance is a distinctive, strong style of dance with elements of street and jazz dance. A popular style of dance which is often used in modern music videos and TV performances. Class prices - This is dependent on the length of the class but the average price of a standard one hour class is 5.
A form of dance which creates sounds from metal plates which attached to both the ball and heel of the dancer's shoes. This subject can be enjoyed by all ages, and is always a particular favourite with the adults. What to wear for your first lesson - There's no need to buy anything immediately. Arrive in something comfortable which you can move in easily, and outdoor shoes without heels are suitable for beginners.

The Heather Milan Dance School allows children to enjoy dancing and performing without putting the fear of God in them that they might be doing something wrong. It is friendly for parents as well as for performers - and the shows they put on are simply awesome. Truely family run businesses are rare these days; signing my daughter up here was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I write arts reviews for the Eastern Daily Press and a number of specialist magazines especially in the areas of classical, jazz, blues and other music. As an alto sax player myself, I also have an personal interest in these sectors. I attended the outstanding 'Flopsical' show, which I reviewed for the EDP and for the GrapeVine events magazine.
It was a wonderful evening with almost non-stop songs, great hilarity and simply perfect interplay between the members of the cast. I must congratulate Heather and and her team for excellent work on the choreography and other performance skills.
