We also have a children's playground and a doggy friendly outdoor seating zone, and some new doggy ice cream! We are currently serving locally sourced breakfast, lunch, snacks, desserts, our special handmade Newfield ice cream & sorbets, delicious homemade cakes, drinks and more! Here at Newfield we are one big happy family and we welcome all our customers with open arms.
Our ice cream is handmade at the parlour using fresh milk and cream from local dairy herds. We always have 16 yummy flavours available including sorbets, and where possible we use the best of nature's bounty from the local area to produce seasonal flavours.

Services
When you combine the stunning views of Nottinghamshire, a friendly team of helpful staff and the best homemade ice cream for miles around (in our opinion anyway) it's no surprise that the Parlour and Cafe have been such a huge success. Better still Newfield is all about the family. Newfield Dairy had been a thriving Dairy farm for many years in the capable hands of John and Anne Pogson, when the decision was made to diversify and expand in 2011.
Something to celebrate? Kids love coming to Newfield Ice Cream Parlour, and we love having them here, which is why we have the party room! Booking a children's party at Newfield Dairy gives you exclusive access to the party room. Able to accommodate up to 20 children, it's also a great venue for any entertainers that you may want to organise to feature as part of a memorable party.
We have a large field to the front of the ice cream parlour with views over the Nottinghamshire rolling countryside, being 3 miles from the market town of Southwell. We hold various events in this field, with sufficient space for extra parking. The space is also available for private hire or collaboration of events.
Whether you've got a question for us, you'd like to make a booking or have some feedback, we'd love to hear from you! If we are closed or unable to answer, then please do leave us a voicemail with your information and contact number and a member of the team will call you back as soon as possible. Turn off the A617 at the Spread Eagle Pub, Hockerton on to Caunton Road, then 1 mile on left.

The quality of the food was good, hence the two stars. However the overall service was pretty poor to be honest. The girl taking the order inspired no confidence whatsoever and whilst the coffees arrived at our table without a problem our breakfast cobs which were on the same order were later paraded around the outside tables for some time as the girl hadn't taken note of the correct table number before coming outside. The whole service was poor; no sugar offered with the coffees, no napkins brought with the cobs. We did ask for napkins but they never arrived. I've been to this place several times

My daughter absolutely loves the ice cream parlour as do I, however with ice cream comes wasps and I was surprised there was nothing to detract them or attract/trap them anywhere. When asking a member of staff… they informed me they were in the back but the place attracts them…..?!? Well um yeah it will but perhaps something to help ward them away or trap them would be a good idea, Pretty please get the repellants/traps out!
