Peter Brown and his wife Irene, founded the business in 1972 finding a market for reclaimed timber, within the farming community that they had been brought up in. The business soon developed and became popular to a larger customer base, encompassing Builders, Joiners and enthusiastic DIY'ers.
The benefits of this increased Peter and Irene's working knowledge in all areas of the trade, which they have been able to pass on to their sons Adam and Simon who joined the business in the mid 1980's, which made it a family business with the two generations.The partnership has changed with the sad loss of Peter and Adam moving to new adventures.
