The guest house has 5 bedrooms which offer comfortable accommodation on a B&B basis, all have en-suite facilities, flat screen TVs and memory foam mattresses. We have a small but adequate car park with one parking space per room. Located in Waterloo Place, at the quieter end of the Esplanade, The Alendale is a short walk from the old town, with the beach nearly on the doorstep.
A short stroll to the old harbour brings a host of other experiences and if diving, fishing and sailing is of interest, trips leave frequently. Renowned for its beautiful beaches, the soft sand and shallow water in the bay are perfect for children's summer fun. Enjoy traditional seaside pleasures like the Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides and pedallos, ice cream and fish and chips, or just sit in a deckchair and take in the views of this beautiful town, the home of Olympic Sailing 2012.
All food is cooked to order and our aim is to provide you with, where possible, the freshest of local produce. Grilled bacon, sausage, tomato, saute mushrooms, baked beans, egg (fried, poached or scrambled), hash brown and fried bread. Unless a family or triple room is detailed, rates are based on two persons sharing a double ensuite room. A deposit is non-refundable, but can be transferable within the same season (subject to availability and appropriate room rates). If cancelled within 7 days prior to arrival or in the case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

On arrival I was greeted and shown to my room. My hosts are new to the business ( but you would think they were old hands). Very kind and welcoming to their guests.Nothing was to much trouble. Always at hand when needed. Breakfasts yum yum always a choice and cooked fresh. Question is would I book again? In a heartbeat. Good luck for the future guys.
