Philip started The Osteopathic Consultancy in 2005, originally setting up the clinic within the Drayton and St Faiths Medical Centre on the outskirts of Norwich. In addition to this weekly clinic in Norfolk, he continued to work in London, primarily at Cannons in the City, whilst also maintaining an independent private client base, which included a number of high profile and celebrity clients.
Andy Clayson graduated from The London School of Osteopathy with a B.Sc Hons degree and subsequently worked for the then principal of the school in a private practice in central London. In 2012 Andy joined The Osteopathic Consultancy when he moved to Norfolk with his family to enjoy a more rural lifestyle.

Services
At The Osteopathic Consultancy, we are dedicated to making your treatment the best possible treatment for you. In order to do this, we offer other treatment methodologies alongside Osteopathy. These include Acupuncture, Ultrasound & Electrotherapy, and specific exercise rehabilitation plans, sports massage and a range of other treatments in order to get you back to your best.
A core principle of osteopathy is that the body is a unit; it is an integrated system working as a whole. Osteopathy recognises the importance of the link between the structure of the human body and the way it functions, utilizing the body's self-healing mechanisms as part of treatment. Osteopaths focus on the body's skeleton and joint function along with underlying muscles, soft tissue and internal organs.
Acupuncture is a treatment technique, developed for over 2000 years, where very fine needles are inserted into certain points on your body. There is a growing amount of evidence supporting acupuncture treatments to aid specific aches and pains such as; osteoarthritis of the knee, TMJ, headaches and lower back pain.
Ultrasound is a treatment method that uses high-frequency sound waves in order to treat certain conditions. At The Osteopathic Consultancy, we use Ultrasound to help reduce local swelling and chronic inflammation that occurs with certain conditions. Ultrasound waves pass through the skin causing a vibration of the local soft tissue.
At The Osteopathic Consultancy, we take pride in offering a multitude of therapy modalities to help you recover in the best and quickest way possible. We find that rehabilitation through exercise is an integral process to help our clients to recover fully and help prevent re-injury.
Looking at exercise programmes tailored to you, we aim to restore strength and flexibility through exercise rehabilitation using functional exercises that will help return you to your pre-injury state. The early stage of your exercise programme will focus on gentle exercises that allow your damaged tissue to heal whilst helping keeping you mobile throughout your recovery.

I am so so lucky to of finally found an Osteopath who genuinely cares! Long story short I've been a client with 2 other local practices and haven't really felt confident or comfortable i was being helped the way my back needed to be helped and I was getting worse, I suffer with a prolapsed disc and I was desperately trying to find someone who could actually help me, then I found Dale and I cannot begin to tell you how incredible he has made me feel, when your in pain your desperate, and I cannot assure you enough that he has made a100% difference to my life, I still have a long way to go but already

I’ve been experiencing pain in my shoulder for well over a year. The physio exercises from the Dr just didn’t help at all. I’ve now had two treatments 4 weeks apart with Phil and it’s noticeably better already. Less pain than usual and I’m able to sleep better and more comfortably at night. Phil has also provided me with much more in depth exercises to do at home to help strengthen my shoulder. Highly recommend!
