When you choose to train with Data Academy Limited, you can be confident in benefitting from high standards and accredited training. We are audited on a regular basis to ensure we consistently meet or surpass the requirements from the awarding bodies listed below. For Driver CPC, Data Academy Limited received the STANDARD of EXCELLENCE award, from Skills for Logistics.
Therefore, if you passed after this date, in order to drive a car or van towing a trailer (or caravan or horsebox) with a gross train weight exceeding 3500kg you are required by law to take B+E test (normally towing a trailer weighing over 750Kg gross weight). The B+E test will be conducted in three parts- Reverse, un-couple, couple-up, Road Drive.
Category C is any rigid vehicle without a trailer, weighing over 7.5 tonnes gross weight, including eight wheel tipper trucks of 32 tonnes gross weight and similar vehicles. This LGV Category C licence must be obtained before you can upgrade to a C+E licence which is the licence required for any large goods vehicle with a trailer such as an Articulated unit and trailer.
Once you have your Category C licence, you can upgrade to C+E. This licence is required for Large Goods Vehicles towing a trailer, (the old Class 1 HGV licence). This LGV licence means you are entitled to drive the largest vehicles allowed on the road in the UK. UPDATE YOUR DQC (Driver Qualification Card) before it runs out, or simply get up to date with your CPC 35hours. WE RUN A DRIVER 35hr CPC COURSE THE LAST WORKING WEEK OF EVERY MONTH, (EXCEPT DECEMBER), just give us a call to confirm the schedule you require. Just completed my Cat C training. Found all the staff really helpful. My trainer, Eddie, explained everything I needed to know to drive safely and professionally. His explanations were well explained and easy to follow and enabled me to pass both CPC and practical driving test. Would recommend Data Academy and will use them again when I move to the next stage (C+E).

Data Academy Ltd is the go-to company in the UK for drivers if you want outstanding customer service, excellent value for money and quality instruction of the highest standard. They managed to get me in the next week for a C1 practical test and I passed first time with them, after having failed with two other companies. I put it all down to the instructors. This HGV training company was the best place I could of done my C+E with, Dorian made it extremely easy for me to attend my training sessions and was very helpful and quick with booking my 3a and 3b test. I trained with Phil who really helped me get to where I am today, even with my nerves he was the main reson I passed my test. I had a 4hr car & trailer lesson with Eddie I always planned to do my trailer license, on the day I was really nervous but the whole team where really upbeat and friendly. I learnt so much and feel so much more confident on the road, Eddie simplified everything especially when learning to reverse with the trailer. I am now even giving my parents a few tips. DATA ACADEMY :) Fantastic friendly company, everyone was very supportive from my first phone call to Dorian to book my assessment in my Cat C and then throughout the whole theory and practical training process. I was recommended to train here by a friend and although it was out of my local area by 70 miles it was worth the travel to use… Data-Academy and I highly recommend it. I wanted to be the star of the show, but that accolade goes to (DA03 HGV) the staff at Data Academy. Real positive and down to earth with no pressure sales tactics. I was lucky enough to do my Class 2 rigid and CPC training and all of the instructors were brilliant, whilst backed up by Dorian and Rachel in the office. You wont regret joining them, but you will regret going elsewhere. Obviously you can already drive if you want to do an HGV course, so go forth and conquer; its just another steering wheel.

There truly is a family spirit at Data Academy. I completed Cat C+E here thanks to my first class instructor Tony. I felt looked after all the way. I thoroughly enjoyed the process. Great banter and a great atmosphere too. Give them 100% and they really will change your life.....The most valuable piece of advice I was told was "keep it straight, turn it late" (thanks Roger).
