Dupont Dance Stage School was founded by Janette Dupont in the late fifties and is now one of the leading stage schools in the country. We offer the highest standard of teaching in all aspects of dance, drama and musical theatre in a warm, friendly and professional atmosphere. The strength of this approach is reflected in our excellent examination and competition results and record of success in the profession.
We offer weekly classes to children from the age of 3 to 18 years as well as some adult classes. We appreciate that children take up dance or drama classes as their hobby and we feel that their happiness is of primary importance. To this end, we endeavour, to create a happy and caring environment, which in turn, provides a sound foundation for their social development and encourages growth in self-confidence.

Services
Examinations are the benchmark for measuring the technical ability of a pupil and their progress in a subject. Pupils do not have to take exams but they are highly popular. All of our pupils tend to take them, enjoying the feeling of application and the sense of achievement and technical development as they progress.
Dupont Dance School is an ISTD approved dance centre to deliver the accredited revised DDE Qualification in Modern theatre dance and tap dance. Dupont Dance is delighted to be offering the ISTD Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) in Modern Theatre and Tap genres. The qualification is aimed at students who wish to gain a teaching qualification with one of the most recognised dance examination boards in the UK and Internationally.

This Dance school is very well established,, the teachers are very warm and welcoming,, the most respected by all who have the pleasure to be taught by them, the results are shown with the most highly credited students going on to the most wonderful careers in the arts,,,

My daughter has been dancing at Dupont for nearly 10 years and has loved every moment of her time with Team DP l. The children are taught by professionals who have a wealth of experience and knowledge.
The range of dance genres taught is extensive and all to the highest of standards. If you want the best training for your child, then you should definitely have s look around- you won't regret it.

The teachers are incredibly passionate and will get the absolute best out of every child. Regular exams so they are always advancing, and an amazing annual show that all the children absolutely love!
I would say if you are looking for a dance school, at least go along for a trial. We did that 6 years ago and have never looked back. As soon as you step into the place you can feel the energy and enthusiasm from all the students, and the exceptional standard of dancing from every pupil.

My daughter joined Dupont Dance when she was 3 years old and her love for dance has been growing exponentially for the past 5 years.
Dupont Dance provides high standards in dance, which is shown by the amazing results attained in regular exams. On top of this every child at Dupont looks forward for the annual show at De Montfort Hall in January.
Kids don’t just learn dance here. They, also, learn teamwork, punctuality, discipline and work ethic. All in all, it’s the perfect place for your child to learn dance as a hobby or potential career.

As a male performer, you cannot get much better than Dupont. I studied here from the age of 4 to 18. From that training I had the opportunity to go to any London dance college and many ex students have done. I left Dupont and became a member of the Original Cast of Wicked the Musical in the West End without the need to have extra training and have continue to work to present day. Im now 27 years old and have worked solidly around the world. If you are looking for a dance school that creates well rounded performers, Dupont should be your home. This is the best dance school ever. they have taught me so much in dance but also valuable life lessons. i will continue my training until i am 18. this school has such great teachers who help each and every student with care. the training is of an excellent standard and the success rate in exams is unbelievable.
