There is a misconception in the Industry that Big Red Sales is a distributor or wholesaler; in fact we are neither. Put simply, we are an experienced and highly successful national sales team operating within the consumer electronics industry. We are retained by major manufacturers to act as their sales force.
Our team are passionate about the Industry and excited about the opportunities that new technology presents. John started his career in accountancy before joining Mars where he first learnt sales and marketing techniques. He moved to Akai as Field Sales Manager and later joined Harman International as UK Sales Manager where he was subsequently promoted to UK Sales Director.
Despite the multiple Lockdowns and all the challenges these brought to both our brand partners and Independent retail customers, 2021 has started at a frantic pace for Big Red Sales as we continue to hit record numbers - a sure sign of the continued trust that consumers have in their local Independent specialists and our brands have in us.
It has long been recognised that the UK has the most sophisticated consumer electronics market in Europe. That makes it a tough "nut to crack". In order that we are able to maximise our reach across this key market we have organised our team into distinct geographic territories. As well as Southern and Northern Ireland we also provide support in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
