FRYDAYS is a family run fish and chips restaurant & take away in the heart of South Shields. The food is excellent and the restaurant is comfortable. FRYDAYS is located just past underneath the last metro bridge in shields town centre facing the general post office. At FRYDAY'S Fish Bar and Grill you will find the fresh fish fried in homemade batter accompanied by the best British potato chips.

We only cut our chips from Maris Piper potatoes. We fry our ingredients in Palm vegetable oil only, which is low in trans-fats delivering delicious non-greasy fish & chips. At Frydays in South Shields we are proud of what we do and provide fantastic food and good quality service at our Restaurant and Takeaway in South Shields.

Best fish and chips ever £640 for a large fish chips & peas £5 for a sml and £380 for scampi and chips and there's seating outside aswell .

We wanted two small fish with no chips to take away. We had to pay for fish and chips even though we didn't want the chips, which was £10.00. The fish itself was very sparse it was mainly batter, which wasn't cooked properly and didn't enjoy it at all. We won't be going back. Shame really as we could do with a decent fish and chip shop.

This place is one of the best places to have Fish n Chips. Each meal of fish n chips consists of a big piece of battered fried fish with lots of chips and mushy peas or tartar sauce. You will get a complementary tea and bread butter. It is quite cheap and well maintained with better service.

20 quid for fish and chips is a bit steep but one portion would have been enough for the 2 of us, I'd definitely go back though. Good service, nice clean environment, friendly staff and most of all good food!
