Couture at Anita Massarella can be defined as having a complete 'One-Off' garment designed, fitted and made to your exact specifications. Anita creates a toile, in calico, that is fitted directly to the customers body. The design is then drawn onto the calico while you are wearing it. This achieves perfect balance and proportion.
You are able to choose necklines and design features with Anita at this early stage, assuring you of perfection. Every element of your garment will be constructed in our workrooms above the showroom in Leeds, Yorkshire, by Anita's highly skilled creative team who are artists in their own right. The luxury of couture incorporates delicate hand stitching alongside opulent attention to detail.

Services
The Haute couture is by appointment and begins with an initial consultation to discuss the design. Looking at the background of your occasion, the setting, the theme, Anita will sketch ideas to compliment your personal style, shape and colouring. Fabrics and embellishment will be discussed, the samples ordered.

Feel I have to leave a review now where all the talk in the news are about, how not to fall a victim to the so-called fast fashion, which has ushered a throwaway culture into the clothing business, with items so cheap they have become single-use purchases.
Anita made me a skirt suit back in 1999 of some gorgeous tweed of the highest quality made in Northern England for more than 100 years and supplied to fashion houses, like Chanel, around the world. Anita designed and created my beautiful dress for my daughter's recent wedding. It was an absolute delight from start to finish, Anita is a truly lovely lady to work with - always interested in you.

I had my wedding dress designed by Anita. The whole experience was truly amazing and the final result was stunning. I felt amazing on my wedding day in a couture dress designed and made just for me. I am now a complete ‘couture convert’. Since my wedding Anita has made me other one off stunning pieces for special events I have attended. Anita always manages to make me feel amazing in her couture designs. I’m always secretly waiting for a special event so I can give Anita a call and ask her to make my “dream couture design come true “ !!

Anita designed my bespoke wedding dress for my special day. The service that Anita and the team deliver is outstanding. They are all super friendly and nothing ever feels too much. I was pregnant whilst wedding planning and my body shape was changing on a daily basis. Anita reassured me that all was going to be ok and made the time for extra fittings to ensure I had the perfect dress on the day. I felt very special in my dress and the lace detail was gorgeous. Having worked at Anita Massarella over a year, both Anita and the team are the most welcoming and lovely people! I have learnt so much and value there expertise within couture fashion. Whether you need a wedding gown, evening gown, or even day wear I can thoroughly recommend. I have 3 jackets designed by Anita which are timeless and classic pieces that fit perfectly into my wardrobe and can be worn both with jeans or dressed up, they always make me feel glamorous!

I do not have enough superlatives to describe the experience of having a haute couture wedding dress designed and made by Anita Massarella and her team. I first met Anita in 2001 when I approached her to make my wedding dress. From the moment I walked into the shop and Anita took out her sketch pad and interpreted my description of the perfect dress, I knew that this was going to be a great relationship. Ten years earlier I stepped into the store with when my older sister was looking for a bespoke wedding gown and remember gasping at how beautiful… everything we set our eyes on was. When it came to my turn to look for my own dress I knew there was no question...it had to be Anita.
The experience of having a couture bridal dress designed and made is one I will never forget and one I cannot recommend highly enough. Every seem, satin button, brilliant bead and delicate lace was so exquisitely placed. It truly was a fairytale.
