Educated in Peterborough, Paul began his career in estate agency in the area in 1985. He has worked for local, independent agents, as well as high profile nationwide chains, before being promoted to Partner at Carter Jonas, a leading national agent, in 2004. In 2012, Paul joined forces with Nick Rickett to create Norton Rickett, with a head office just outside Stamford.

Decided to place my house up for sale with NortonRickett estate agents and it was one of my better decisions. Not only did they sell it very quickly, the service that they provide continues throughout the house sale and only ends when we moved out and the new client moves in.
Its easy to think that all an estate agent does is to sell your home, well of course this is their number one objective but these guys do so much more, which places them above any other estate agents I have had past dealing with.

Excellent personal service from start to finish from both Paul and Nick. Intimate knowledge of the current market provided a good valuation of our property that was slightly above our own valuation and way above a competitors valuation. Fortunately the valuation was on the money and sold quickly with plenty of other interested legitimate buyers in the wings. Excellent advice given throughout the sales process which was a lot longer than anticipated due to communication issues with other parties. Paul and Nick are both very professional and knowledgeable about the local housing market and we couldn’t have put the sale of our home into better hands. This all seems good, but once they have your money, what's their incentive to spend time chasing prospective buyers and following up on viewings? We found this to be the case with us having to do all the chasing, and finding out details were not being passed on etc.
We decided to go with Norton Rickett. This proved to be the perfect choice and we wish we hadn't wasted our time before. Nick Rickett was

We would totally recommend this Company. We lost our buyer due to Covid but this didn’t deter Nick and all the team. A new buyer was quickly found and we completed last week on our property. We were kept updated regularly and so was our Buyer. In fact, our Buyer commented that she had received more help from Norton Rickett than her own Estate Agent! So well done Nick and Team. I met with three estate agents prior to listing. I was drawn to Norton Rickett as they've always been great when viewing with them. That said, I decided to go with a cheaper option... Almost a year later, 2 failed sales, I called up Paul and explained the situation.
Despite a challenging property market, uncertain economy and a property that had been marketed for 12 months, Paul, Nick and Louise came to the rescue.
They sold my property at the first time of trying. It's fair to say you get what you pay for and I believe Norton Rickett represent good value and get the job done! Thank you!

I cannot thank Nick and Paul enough for all their help and support they've given me through the sale of my property. They have given me successful advice and been very supportive and upbeat throughout.
Great communication and updates of viewings with constructive feedback. I live two hours from the property and Nick was excellent at keeping an eye on maintenance of the property.

It took a while to sell, but that was no reflection on Norton Rickett, purely the state of the market for our size of property. The efforts of Nick, Paul and Louise were certainly above and beyond the "call of duty", especially when they eventually found our buyer. The process to exchange of contracts was difficult & numerous issues reared their heads in a chain of "5". All were dealt with & finally it all came together. All credit to Nick, Paul & Louise whose professionalism and dogged determination to achieve the right sale for The Retreat was first class.
