I know how stressful life can be and I wanted to offer something tangible to people that would help them in life to maintain their health and wellbeing and reduce stress. I decided to alter my career and started my journey to becoming a Complementary Therapist.
Before learning any of the practical courses it was necessary to start with Anatomy and Physiology, so I studied for my ITEC diploma in Anatomy and Physiology at Bournemouth and Poole college, then studied for the rest of my courses at the locally based Serenity School of Complementary Therapies including ITEC Holistic Massage, ITEC Indian Head Massage and ITEC Reflexology and ITEC Aromatherapy, whilst also learning Reiki and Hopi Ear Candling, so you can be assured you are in safe hands with a qualified therapist.

Hair removal is not a modern concept. Our citizens in Ancient Egypt, India, Rome and Greece used hair removal methods such as early forms of razors or tweezers, sea shells, pumice stones, sugaring and threading to remove body hair as it was considered to be more hygienic and a sign of wealth.
The removal of hair filtered over to the West in the Middle Ages but it was from the 1940's onwards with the introduction of bathing suits and bikinis in the 1960's that hair removal became popular.Hair removal these days can take the forms of waxing, tweezing, depilatory creams, threading, electrolysis and laser treatment.

Full consultations usually take about 15 minutes and this is to help me to understand a bit more about your current health, wellbeing and lifestyle in order that treatment and after care can be given which is appropriate and relevant to you.Children under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by and consent given by a parent/guardian.

I found Liz on a Google search. I hadn't been able to get in with my usual waxer in Sheffield before I went on holiday to Bournemouth. I was nervous using someone new for a Brazilian wax but read her reviews and hoped they were genuine. I was not disappointed!! An intimate wax is never going to be totally pain free but I can honestly say, somehow… Liz managed to finish my wax with the least amount of discomfort I've ever had and gave a perfect smooth finish with no soreness after! I didnt even realise it was all over when she told me she was done. I don't usually leave reviews, but in this

I had some intimate waxing performed by Liz. I must admit to being more than a little nervous about this, but Liz is very professional and put me at ease as she did her duties. It was nowhere near as painful as I had been anticipating. Liz really knows her stuff and I have no problem awarding 5 stars in every category.

I can't recommend Liz and Orchid Therapies highly enough, having searched the local area for a professional business / person for waxing treatments, Liz fits this bill perfectly. Having seen Liz half a dozen times now i can say she is very good at waxing and puts you at ease very quickly and does a top job as well as good conversation and great chats about eighties music, If your thinking about getting waxed for the first time Liz is the one to see

Having researched a number of local waxing therapists last year, I found that the Orchid Therapies web site was one of the most informative and made me feel very comfortable with starting back waxing treatment for the first time. Having been for many sessions now, I can honestly say how surprised I am at how relaxing the experience is (not what I was expecting). Then again, Liz has a thoroughly natural professional approach which I don't believe could be bettered!

Liz's treatments are super-duper. My work is super charged and it's great to come away from it and chill out for an hour while she works her magic. Liz gave me a full consultation before my first treatment and always explains why certain oils are used in a massage blend, which is a nice touch. She's caring and professional and puts you at your ease. Definitely recommended.
