Dewsbury & Proud was established in 1977 by Jerry Dewsbury and Tony Proud with a 6 Ton Mobile Crane. One year later and the purchase of the Company's first new truck mounted telescopic crane, a 15 ton Hydrocon, laid the seeds of the strong foundations that the Company is built on today.

Since those early days Dewsbury & Proud has expanded and in-bedded itself as the largest independent crane hire company in the Midlands, with over 40 cranes based at our four strategic depot's, Wolverhampton, Stoke-On-Trent, Coventry and Leicester securing our customers a reliable service network throughout the midlands.

Dewsbury & Proud are able to offer a total service from the initial enquiry to the completion of the lift. This may encompass site visits, risk assessments and writing of method statements, the use of Slinger banksmen or Appointed Persons, block grabs, man baskets, traffic management and road closures.

Dewsbury & Proud work to the terms and conditions of the CPA (Construction Plant Hire Association) and in accordance with BS7121, The Safe Use of Cranes and LOLER. Under the terms of a CPA Crane Hire Agreement, the crane and operator are the responsibility of the customer when the crane leaves the public highway to gain access to the site.

Dewsbury & Proud work to the terms and conditions of the CPA (Construction Plant Hire Association) and in accordance with BS7121, The Safe Use of Cranes and LOLER. Under the terms of a Standard Contract Lift, the crane, operator and all personnel supplied with our crane are the responsibility of Dewsbury & Proud.

Our Truck mounted Bocker cranes are perfect for medium weight loads such as lifting materials, roof trusses, wall cladding, glazing and even steel erection, the applications for these cranes are almost limitless. Truck mounted Bocker cranes are extremely versatile and are operated via a remote control, allowing the crane operator to safely position themselves to a clear line of vision between crane and load.
