Towbar2U was founded in 1991 by Stephen Sims, a successful businessman with over 30 years' experience across all sectors of the motor industry. Stephen established Towbar2U as a mobile towbar fitting company and began supplying and fitting towbars for all makes of vehicles.

Had my towbar fitted Wednesday, detachable for my Audi A4 Estate, 3 years old.
Fitter turned up spot on time and was all fitted in 90 minutes. Treated the car with respect, bumper placed on a foam covered stand to avoid damage. Demonstration given afterwards. Just a tip, if you've ordered Universal Electrics and want your tail lights to work with the engine off, request a permanent feed in advance. I didnt but they still rectified it in 10 minutes with no arguments or judgement. Very friendly people.
10/10 will use again.

Excellent service! We sourced and fitted the towbar ourselves and after visiting a couple of local garages and the most unhelpful main dealer we still couldn't program the electrics despite fitting the vehicle specific wiring harness! Dave provided a very helpful and positive service and the team got the job done quickly, thank you very much!

Cannot fault the service I received. Josh was so professional and efficient. He took the time to go through everything thoroughly and wouldn't leave until he was certain I was OK with it all, even though it was the hottest day of the year. Awesome job. Very good and competitively priced. Quality of work is very good and didn’t take too long.
My only reason for not giving 5 stars is at having to pay for the service in full up front but I am guessing they have had problems with previous customers not paying once job has been completed. Overall though a very good service.

Brilliant service from start to finish. Easy to order and fitted in our driveway. Our towbar engineer, Paul, was just brilliant. He took very great care in removing sections of our car and installing the metalwork and wiring. All fully tested and explained at the end. Highly recommended and will definitely use again if we change our car.

I booked this service just under 2 weeks ago, from just speaking to the person on the phone I was put at ease and the correct towbar and wiring was quickly reached.
The fitter arraived on time and was polite and friendly, he fitted the towbar and electrics within 2 hours and when finished he showed me that the electrics were fully working and how the removable towbar was fitted and removed from my car.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

When I called the telephone line I was offered everything I wanted and a good Price until I was told I had to give the a Deposit of £100 to go ahead.....I asked if I could pay £50 as I had not got £100 and they said No.....when I get a job dont I like to pay cash....not cheque or card....But they refused....I would not recommend anyone unless you have a lot of money,,,,

I had my towbar fitted last year by towbar2u. After 15 months all the electrics pack up whilst on holiday in France towing my caravan. I had the car taken into a garage and have been told that the smartboxes have failed and the it's the untidiest wiring job they have seen. I contacted towbar2u only to be told 12 months warranty only and if i wanted them to look £45 call out and then any other repair charges on top. After paying what i paid to have it fitted i would of expected it to last longer than 12 months - poor job. Avoid!
