With thousands of titles in stock, we offer an overnight ordering service for a further 500,000 more.

Just ask in store or email us here. We an official stockist of National Book Tokens which can be redeemed in any participating bookshop.

Events Report

This free event is a coproduction between Sidmouth Science Festival and Winstones Bookshop and is part of Robin's 100 Bookshops Tour. Comedian Robin quickly abandoned science at school, bored by a fog of dull lessons and intimidated by the barrage of equations. But, twenty years later, he fell in love and he now presents one of the world's most popular science podcasts.

I'm Edie and I'm 10 and a half. Things I enjoy include reading, listening to music and drawing Manga. The types of books I like generally involve family issues or Doctor Who, although I like reading all sorts of books. My favourite author is Jacqueline Wilson. A book I enjoyed recently is "See you in the Cosmos" by Jack Cheng.

A prime example of the reason for shopping local (or visiting from Bristol and supporting a local bookshop). Friendly service, good selection of current titles and an interesting purchase. Recommended in a lovely town with lots of independent shops.

Delightful bookshop. This might sound a little specific, but the science section is organised beautifully, not just narrowly including STEM topics, but also a variety of titles simply promoting rational and clear thinking.
Wish I'd had time to try their coffee.
