Our standard mainland UK delivery charge is 12.00 but if you are based in Birmingham or Solihull we are offering free deliveries for orders of 50.00 or more. If you reasonably handily located for one of our shops you can also place Click and Collect orders online to pick up instore. A fantastic chance to introduce (or refamiliarise) yourself with one of the world's great white wine treasures - German Riesling.
Sadly unfashionable but packed with vibrant, zesty fruit and a lot drier than you might be expecting. Bischofliche DOM Dry Riesling - Delicately floral with citrus and light flinty aromas. The palate is pure with green apple, refreshing citrus acidity, stony minerality and good length. Dnnhoff Riesling Trocken QBA - Wonderfully fresh and well defined wine from one of Germany's greatest winemakers, elegant with a tingling minerality.

Services
We've got plenty of tradition, but we are a vibrant, modern firm aiming to bring our customers the best. Connolly's Wine Merchants Ltd is a truly independent outfit, carefully selecting and shipping wines from all over the world to Birmingham. We have been family owned and run since 1976 and continue to provide a personal, flexible and comprehensive service to all our customers.
Yup, a proper, subscription only wine club just like the big boys do but much, much better. So on the grounds that "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" and, more importantly, "we could do this so much better, " we're responding to the latter statement with the launch of our very own, life-changing Wine Club.
I should have to admit approaching our meeting with Arendsig with a degree of scepticism as Robertson still struggles to command the respect afforded to Stellenbosch and Hermanus but my doubts proved to be totally unfounded as these were some of the most exciting wines that we tasted during our visit.
This is a marriage made in heaven! It is made from a field blend of Argentina's most iconic and widely planted varietals. Though these grapes mature at different times, the Malbec three weeks before the Bonarda, we harvest both together (the Malbec ten days later than typical, the Bonarda ten days early).
Immediate nose of beetroot juice poured over graphite shavings sets you up for quite a journey. The palate shares the same dense minerality and graphite texture as the nose with a quiet but growing presence of forest floor and frozen berries. On opening, this fruit thaws to release fresh summer pudding and cream served in a pencil case.

In these strange and unusual times life has taken a surreal turn. Staying in is the new going out; quizzes the new “go-to” choice for group entertainment. To ease the burden of venturing out amongst the masses we have found the Connolly’s wine deliver service a new life essential!
Thank you for your professional and candid advice, thank you for listening to what we liked and thank you for introducing us to wines we would never had access to…
And just when we though it couldn’t get any better…. we are now also looking forward to sampling the new array of deli-delights with future orders

Connolly's is a short walk from my work in the city centre and I've been there quite a few times in my lunch hour to pick up a couple of bottles. The layout of the shop is very clear and the staff there have always given top notch advice. The shop is very classy but isn't daunting in the way that some of these places can be! As well as the wine, there is a wide range of spirits and beers to cover all tastes and budgets. Overall, a really great experience.

Great to support local independents more places like this needed in Solihull, fantastic selection of wine with an impressive spirits collection and a growing beer choice, weekly tastings both wines and spirits. They now offer cheese on the 2nd Friday of the month to go with the great wines. The team have fantastic knowledge and will help you pair the bottle with your food. its a Friday evening regular

Needing a fathers day present I popped into this wine shop looking for a basic bottle of red. I don't know too much about wine so thought it best to ask the chap behind the counter. If you are looking for people who know all about wine especially their own stock, including some wonderful stories about the production then these are the chaps to go and visit. I got much more than I was looking for and my Dad got a very special bottle of vino.
The wine connoisseur who helped me select just the right bottle talked me through nearly all of their red stock. We alighted on an Argentinean red
