SM Legal Services are a firm of costs draftsmen based in the West Midlands, who have been providing costing services to the legal profession for nearly two decades. Although we are based in the West Midlands, we provide a nationwide legal costing service, which includes attending upon detailed assessment hearings when and where we are required to do so.
Our partnership of medico-legal experts is based in Birmingham and the Midlands, although we work with medical experts throughout the UK and provide nationwide medico-legal reports and expert witness services. Our medico-legal team have been instrumental in the resolution of cases across the spectrum, from minor injury claims to catastrophic traumatic brain injury and / poly trauma / life altering injuries.
Neurology and Neuropsychology Medico-Legal Experts input is crucial in any Traumatic Brain Injury case. As lead partners we are proud to have collectively over the years worked with the legal team to produce reports across a variety of legal cases. We work with a vast number of clinical partners so that we can provide a full Medico-Legal service to our clients, whos needs extend outside of Neurology and Neuropsychology.

A formal letter of instruction should be sent by post or email together with HARD OR ELECTRONIC COPIES of all medical records, scans, X-rays, etc - visit our contact page here.
Patients can be referred and booked in for an MRI / CT scan at short notice, between 48 hours and five working days. Our partnership experts report on a variety of scans, including those of the; brain, head and neck, spine, sacroiliac joints, brachial plexus, lumbosacral plexus and sciatic nerve. For those patients who cannot have an MRI scan (such as those with pacemakers), we can also provide medical reports on CT myelogram's.
