Lilybud Gardens by Design provides quality garden design and build services in the Brighton, Worthing and surrounding areas. The business is run by Lisa Attwell who passed the Royal Horticultural Society General Certificate with a commendation. Lisa is a qualified garden designer, having graduated from Hadlow College and the University of Greenwich.
She also has building craft qualifications as well as years of gardening and horticultural experience. Her horticultural experience includes 3 years as the Head Gardener at a three-acre historic walled garden in the heart of Brighton. Our design approach aims to create beautiful yet practical outdoor space, with every design element working hard to give maximum value in gardens large or small.

We are a garden design and landscaping company creating beautiful gardens in Brighton, Hove, Worthing and across Sussex. With many years experience and over 200 fantastic gardens to our name, we're well placed to help you get the garden you've always dreamed of. A consultation with us in your garden allows the opportunity for us to get a feel for the space. We discuss the thoughts you've had for your garden, how you want to use the space and what kind of style you have in mind. We show you our extensive portfolio and mood & style boards to fire up your imagination and begin to carve out the design direction that suits you.
2D scaled concept plan detailing hard landscaping (paths, patios, walls etc) and soft landscaping (planting and lawn) along with artist's impression 3D perspective views of the garden from various angles to help you visualise our design ideas. Any changes are highlighted at this stage and we amend the design if necessary.

Lisa and her friendly, hard-working team have transformed a tired, unusable space into a cool, modern garden which makes the most of the west-facing aspect. We asked for a garden that was lower maintenance with two separate seating areas and lots of flower power – and the result has surpassed our expectations. David, the landscaper, worked tirelessly during some difficult weather and both he and Lisa kept us fully informed about any changes throughout the process. Lisa's follow-up advice on plant care has been excellent. We’re loving our new garden.

Having moved into a new house, we were faced with a once-loved garden that had grown wild.
Lisa took our simple ideas for what we wanted from a new garden and helped convert them into a vision for a space that delivered on everything we wanted. The programme of works involved complete clearance of our previous garden followed by significant hard landscaping and then a major planting scheme.
We are very happy with our new garden and look forward to many happy years spent outside.

We engaged Likybud on a consultation basis. She helped us consider options for our garden, giving us inspiring and creative ideas but also being a vital sounding board for our thoughts and ideas (like my garden therapist!) She has a wealth of knowledge about planting as well as hard landscaping. She's also helped put us in touch with reputable gardeners and tradespeople. I cannot rate Lilybud highly enough! They transformed my "step of death" into a beautiful family garden which I thought impossible with the space we had available. It was a pleasure to have them in my house and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. The children have a safe place to play and a lawn to picnic on. For a small city garden this is amazing!
