Dunmail Park Shopping Centre
We pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and unique combinations of shops. You won't be disappointed with what we have to offer at Cumbria's favourite shopping centre! Dunmail Park benefits from over 500 car parking spaces which are free to use by customers.

At Dunmail Park Shopping Centre we are proud of our history, prior to work commencing on Dunmail Park in 1986, the site had been used as a mining site, iron works, colliery, steel works and a textile mill and at one point was providing employment for for over 5,000 people.See below for a brief description of the sites history.

Parking can be difficult with large vehicles. Not enough parking spaces for families with babies. Otherwise excellent supermarket staff very helpful.

I only went into Asda to do a shop and have a breakfast - which was very good
The centre itself unfortunately has a good few empty premises if there where investment to bring other shops here it would be amazing, it is indoors light and airy

Other than asda and an insanely over priced furniture shop (affordable if you don't mind selling the odd kidney), there's nothing here.

Owner has no idea what he's doing, the building interior is unclean, and most of the old shops are abandoned, only a handful of shops left. (Which are certainly nicer than the shopping centre itself)

Although Dixons Home Store sells authentic furniture and accessories, the restaurant breakfast let's the ambience down, described as an Large English Breakfast was rather bland and served with two thin chipolatas sausages (French), cheap catering tasteless baked beans, two fried eggs of which one was over cooked and the other sunny side.
The Bacon, Mushrooms, Fried Tomato and Black pudding were cooked to perfection and tasted perfectly.
Sadly for this prestigious cafe the condiment sauce sachets, were not branded items, which added to the bland taste of the meal.
It was my first visit after

Craft fair in the centre was a waste of time. I wasn't told to supply my own table and chairs (but luckily I put a table in the car just in case). Not many people stopped by ,won't be doing it again. Poor organisation, didn't see anyone from the centre all day. Not sure what the £10 was for as stallholders had to supply everything.
