InkBlot Films began life as a video agency in York in 2011. Filming across Yorkshire and beyond, we focus on the people behind your organisation, quickly getting right to the heart of what you do and helping you tell your story in a way that elicits a response.

We recognise the value of knowing where you're at and where you're heading, and we've developed a process that has become the common thread that runs through all our projects. Every project is unique, which means that your process may be weighted differently in any of the areas below, but it'll give you a good idea of how things will shape up as we work together.

I perform with York-based Folk Rock band Blackbeard's Tea Party and we hired Inkblot to assist us with creating a 30 minute film of a live performance that we had been commissioned to do by a third party.
Mike and Jay from Inkblot were extremely passionate when discussing the project and were very helpful in planning how the filming would work. It did end up being quite a complex shoot but they steered us through it very well and both ourselves and our client were overjoyed with the result.

I worked with Inkblot to create lower thirds and an animated logo for the youtube videos that I produce for my SEO consultancy. The chats I had with Mike & Jay gave me motivation and inspirations as well as know-how for video creation. I don't have the budget to externalize video production entirely, but I'd hire them again even if only to get feedback on ideas and creations.

I worked with Mike and his team to do a virtual tour for my client - Geoffrey Benson & Sons - so we could improve their overall digital presence and add to their new website so when potential customers can't get to the showroom they can look around. Communication was great and the result was fantastic. Both myself and the client are very pleased with the result and they have even had their first sale from it as a result of it being embedded on site. It was a pleasure to work with Jay and Mike on the intro for my videos for my YouTube channels. I came to them with a particularly vague brief and we had a great consultation meeting to help flesh out some ideas. I did cause some complications mid way with some changes which they were happy to oblige with. I was very happy with final product. If I have need of work for a similar profect I will definetly use them again.

We recently used Jay to put a video together for a staff members leaving present. The video turned out amazingly....i believe it will bring watchers to tears. Jay is very responsive, friendly and their work is always of a high quality. Would highly recommend.

Mike was amazing at our daughters christening. He spent his time taking lots of photos of my daughter getting christened, the guests in the church and then during the party he took photos of all the guests interacting with each other. He also got us to stand together with our daughter and our family and friends for our daughters guestbook photos, he would spend the time to get everyone to laugh and smile to get their natural smiles for the photos. We received the link to view our photos really quick and the photos were amazing and really caught each and every moment of our daughters special day

Mike is a lovely person to deal with and a true professional when it comes to 360 photography. He is fairly priced and our 360 tours look great.
He's a great character and sends out lots of positive vibes. You won't be disappointed as he's a great communicator and keeps you up to date with everything he is doing.
