I used this company to alter a bridesmaids dress very last minute before a wedding as I gave birth 2 weeks before. They hemmed the bottom and put 2 zips in so I could breastfeed and it worked amazingly. They also did it in just a few days which was great as I wouldn't have been able to fit into it any earlier.

These people are magicians! took various pieces to be repaired or patched up. Superb almost invisible result and excellent value for money. Couple of days turn around for what I required, informed by text when ready to collect. Superb service.

Fantastic service and quality workmanship. Two of our bridesmaid dresses needed altering a week before the wedding and could not find anywhere to help until I rang this friendly lady. Within 3 days of contacting my dresses were back home, altered perfectly at a great price. I was particularly impressed with the stitching on the chiffon dress hem, extremely neat and professional. Will definitely be my go to shop for future work.

Highly recommended. Lovely friendly staff who know what they are doing. Used twice now, to take up a long lace dress for a ball and to make the seems lie flat, that stuck out on the hips of a skirt. They also advised the skirt would look better to taper all the way down to make it narrower at the bottom and they were spot on. I recommend to all my friends.

Using my husbands account as I don’t have an account of my own but I felt so strongly about leaving this review and as there is no Facebook page this was the only option.
I had an absolutely terrible experience at alter.
I had taken a bridesmaid dress in to be altered as it was too big, it needed to be shortened and taken in at the top.
When I picked the dress up and tried it on it was still considerably too big at the top.
I took the dress back and explained it had not been taken in enough.
The lady who served me was unbelievably rude! Such a horrendous attitude. She told me I hadn’t

I was recommended to Alter by a friend. Having not used a clothing altering service I had a few reservations as I needed a bridesmaid dress altering, I also asked them to alter another item. I had the sleeves of a top widened and the dress taken in. I got the items back yesterday and I am amazed and so pleased with the results. I can’t even tell where the alterations were made on the dress but its the perfect fit now! The top is amazing and has given new life to the item. Fantastic service through out, and the fitting was quick and very private. Will happy recommend to anyone.

I've had numerous items amended at Alter and all have been outstanding. This includes a chiffon, beaded bridesmaid dress and another very detailed lacey dress which other seamstresses had been anxious to attempt. The ladies at alter were happy to help and have done an incredible job on both; how I'll never know! The jobs were ready before the predicted time and in my opinion, were reasonably priced. Lovely friendly service. Couldn't rate more highly.
