I've done traditional lessons with Andy Follin for several years - his knowledge and expertise as a singing and vocal coach is unrivalled. Because of COVID he's now offering online sessions, which have been surprisingly brilliant - they're different to face to face lessons of course, but they do offer new possibilities. If you're serious about improving, don't hesitate to try these.

I really enjoy coming for lessons with Andy. He is very clued up about vocal anatomy, and health, and his teaching style is friendly and personable. I am a professional vocalist and have been taught by a handful of teachers, and Andy has helped me to understand my voice and get my vocal health back on track!

I began vocal coaching with Andy to regain confidence and control in my vocal technique, after being left very disillusioned with how I should be using my voice through previous experiences. Over the last two years I have been studying with Andy, he has provided me with a detailed knowledge and understanding of how my voice works and how to apply it. I would highly recommend Vocal Skills to anyone wishing to achieve their full vocal potential, whatever genre they wish to sing. I just could not recommend a better Teacher than Andy his knowledge and easy going personality and professionalism put me at ease immediately after a disastrous couple of encounters with other local so called professional vocal teachers I had all but given up hope but then as luck would have it I found Andy and the rest is history .The Estill voice training method which Andy teaches is absolutely mind blowingly brilliant and my progress has been astounding to say the very least in such a short period of time I quite honestly would never have believed I could have achieved what I have with my voice

Andy is quite simply the best! I met him 4 years ago when I took my son Sam to him for the first time. He spent an hour with him and took him on as a student. We haven't looked back.
Lessons are every 6-8 weeks and the results are amazing. Andy fully understands the voice, both sung and spoken and he has taken Sam's raw talent to a different level. More recently we started our daughter Ellen with him. He has transformed her voice and helped her to build her confidence and see off her stage fright.
This is the real deal for singers of all genres from pop to opera.

I've been attending regular lessons with Andy for several years now, and under his tuition, not only has my singing and technique improved greatly, but my confidence has grown exponentially. I was always cynical about taking lessons, but now wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andy's more bespoke approach.

Choosing Andy at vocal skills was the best decision I have ever made. I have learned so much in such a short amount of time, its amazing. Having tried other tutors previously it's easy to see why Andy gets the results he does, through not only his skills and understanding of the subject but also his approach to teaching. I can't recommend Vocal Skills highly enough.

Cannot recommend Andy as a vocal teacher highly enough. I visited him after having vocal issues due to poor training a few years ago and have not looked back since. His contemporary and thorough approach to vocal training is fantastic and as somebody training in Musical Theatre, I have seen great improvements in my voice - his teaching is second to none.

I have had vocal lessons with Andy now for 2 years and can not recommend it enough. There are improvements in my voice in the space of just one lesson. Not only that - but everything is explained thoroughly so I understand what is happening in my voice to make these changes. There is no pressure to take lessons regularly and I always walk away with exercises I can work on in-between lessons so I am always improving. For high quality vocal coaching this is definitely the place to be.
