We are a family run business, and having children of our own we understand the joys, the challenges and the energy needed to keep little ones entertained!. Lollipops Pottery Painting Studio is the ideal place to bring your little ones and be assured that they will be kept busy for hours at a time.

Whether you are just popping in for a drink and a cake in our coffee shop, creating a mini-masterpiece, or you want us to organise a pottery party for them and their friends, the studio is always ready and waiting to be enjoyed.All of our studio assistants are experts in pottery painting, and can advise you at any time about items to paint, colours to use, and they aren't too bad at making a great latte in the meantime!

How it works Report

Hand-paint your design using the coloured underglaze. You can bring ideas with you or look for inspiration in the books we have in the studio, or why don't you visit our online gallery? We can offer you some hints and tips on how to add lettering to your pottery or if you would like us to add some lettering to your design, we offer a writing service which will incur a small charge based on how many words you require.

Gifts and Commissions Report

Lollipops can provide unique & personalised hand-painted gifts for someone special. Personalised pottery gifts make the ideal present for a special birthday, new baby congratulations, a christening or anniversary and can be individualised with a special date or hand-painted message. A signed plate is a novel and original way to capture the thoughts and wishes of your guests on your special occasion.

Great place to take young children. And you'll have some fun as well! They have a good selection of pottery and paints. They also have a lot of seating even when busy. They have a cafe inside where you can order some drinks and it has a varied selection of cakes and brownies.

Took the family, expensive couple of hours! The teens were not told what to do. How to paint, how thick to put it on, what different layers do to the colours. If they just took the paint and got on with it or what. Ended up running out of time so literally ended in tears.

At Lollipops on a surprisingly chilly May day, but the staff were all so welcoming, helpful and warm that we just layered-up and got on with it. The sandwiches and quiches were truly excellent.

Lovely place with a big selection of paints and pottery to paint. Have a lovely cafe that you can get a coffee or cake at while painting. Great and friendly staff there to help you.

Lovely way to spend a couple of hours with the family. You don't mind letting the kids getting all messy.
Nice selection of drinks and snacks available.
Pub opposite for food.
Parking available. It can be muddy when it rains.

Lovely location in comparison to Welford Road, much more parking and a more pleasant area to visit. Fabulous hot chocolate. All staff are attentive and happy to give tips on painting

A really lovely place to spend the day. I took my mum there as a birthday present. You pay for a session and for the things you choose to decorate. The staff were helpful in showing us what to do and let us stay longer than our session because we hadn't quite finished. We later went back to do handprint baubles with my nephew and again the staff were very helpful in showing us how to do it.
