To support recent growth, WEC Laser employees have recently built a new 25,500 sq ft state-of-the-art purpose-built facility at the Group's headquarters in Darwen. WEC Laser has two tube laser cutting machines, which are capable of not only laser cutting tube, but also box section and most open profiles.
Our laser box cutting section also allows us to laser cut square and rectangular box section in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Just four months after purchasing our first waterjet cutting machine we have purchased our second to accomodate increasing demand! Laser Engineering was established in 1998 when WEC Group decided to invest in the latest technological developments of the time and purchased their first laser cutting machine to support their growing fabrication operation. The capacity of this first laser cutter was soon reached and a second machine was quickly purchased, enabling the firm to provide a sub-contract laser cutting service externally.
Established in 1994, 5750 Components have a mandate to provide a prompt, precision CNC laser processing service on a sub-contract basis to the region's industrial manufacturing base. 5750 Components provide services for various industries including environmental, automotive, retail, military, electronics and street architecture.
