Thurmaston Pharmacy has been a Pharmacy serving the village of Thurmaston for over 60 Years. The Pharmacy was bought from the Co-op, is well supported by the local village and offers a free repeat prescription collection and delivery service within a five mile radius of the Pharmacy. We collect and deliver free of charge to Syston, Birstall, Rushymead, Melton Road, Hamilton, Evington, Thurmaston, Humberstone and Scraptoft.

We offer a wide range of healthcare and pharmacy services, some you might not expect from your local pharmacy, our pharmacist is a highly trained medical professional and can offer advice and treatment for many minor ailments & minor injuries. Alternatively we also operate a complaints procedure as part of the NHS system of dealing with complaints. Our procedure meets national criteria and our Pharmacist can give you further information. We have a comprehenisve stock of prescription medicines in-store. If for some reason we do not have the prescription items you require, we have the ability to source most items for the next working day. Our computer system allows us to keep comprehensive records of the medication we dispense to you.
We dispense all NHS prescriptions. We keep a comprehensive stock of prescription medicines and use a fast and efficient wholesaler service to enable us to fill all prescriptions promptly. Please hand your prescription in at the Pharmacy counter and the dispensary team will prepare your medication. Our Pharmacist is always on hand to answer any questions or concerns you may have about any medication you are taking.
We strongly recommend you request your repeat prescription a minimum of 5 working days before you run out of your medication. If you have less than 2 days supply, please contact your surgery directly and ask for an urgent prescription to be issued to us.
If you are a regular patient with us and have been consistently receiving your medication from us, we may be able to provide an "emergency supply" (For certain medication only and at the discretion of the responsible Pharmacist on duty).Please speak to the Pharmacist about this.
