Services
Reflexology is an holistic therapy that acts as complimentary health care. It can be used to improve general well-being, or help address a particular health problem. It has its origins in Ancient Egypt and has been practised for over 5000 years. Our feet are our channels to the earth and reflect the health of the body.
Reflexologists do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe. Reflexology is a very individual treatment which works with you holistically. Usually, you might feel relaxed and tension might be reduced after a treatment; you may sleep better and you may notice a feeling of improved mood and general well being.
Reflexology is a therapy which can be received by anyone at any age, from newborn babies to those receiving end of life care, and everyone in-between. Reflexology is a very easy to treatment to receive; the most clothing that will have to be removed will be socks and shoes. The therapist will then use their hands to apply pressure to the feet, lower leg or hands dependent on the type of reflexology chosen.
The Association of Reflexologists is the professional body for fully accredited reflexologists. Members must have passed an approved, dedicated, comprehensive reflexology course leading to a minimum Level 3 Diploma in order to receive MAR (Member of the Association of Reflexologists) status. In order to maintain this status, members must also be fully insured and will work to a strict code of ethics.
Fees for consultations at locations other than our consulting room can be discussed, and will need to cover travelling expenses and time. The first consultation will last around an hour and a quarter. Subsequent consultations last around 45 minutes. We offer gift vouchers for those special occasions.
